William Graham, Director 330-569-3171 www.campasbury.org info@campasbury.cor Let Your Light Shine is Camp Asburys theme for summer 2012. Campers and staff will sing about light, worship the light of the world, decorate camp with light, explore the sun, moon and stars, and kindle an inner light. Resident camp is a great place to experience both darkness and light. Many of Camp Asburys most memorable experi-

ences are light-filled: a colorful sunset from Communion Hill, the dancing flames of a campfire, the shimmer of the Milky Way, shadows cast by moonlight, lightning streaking across the night sky, Its darkness that reveals light. On a dark night the more brilliant the stars shine; the more appealing a campfire glows; the more dazzling the fireflies flicker. Camp Asbury shapes the whole person by connecting with nature, engaging in daily Bible study, and living together in small-group community. Camp Asburys beautiful 450-acre site is a spiritual place staffed by counselors who are well trained and excellent role models. Camp Asbury offers: Resident camp for grades 1-12 in seven one-week sessions (June 10-July 27) and day camp for grades 1-6 in seven one-week sessions (June 11July 27). For program information visit www.campasbury.org Register online or contact Rev. William Graham, Director, at 330-569-3171 or info@campasbury.org. CAMP INVENTION A program of Invent Now, Inc. 800-968-4332 www.campinvention.org Invent Now is excited to announce that the Camp Invention ENVISION program featuring all new activities is returning to area schools this summer. This exciting, weeklong adventure in creativity immerses children in imaginative play that reinforces and supplements school-year learning in the subjects of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Children work together to seek innovative solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills such as teamwork and creative problem solving as they rotate through four modules each day that disguise learning as fun. In the Inventeureka module, children will venture on the Ci6000 Space Modulator Time Machine for a fantasy adventure. Children will build their own inventions and learn to adapt certain features for various situations. Participants spend their time navigating an island via upcycled ships and learning the power of combining magnetism and electricity during the Magnetropolis module. In the I Can Invent: Balloon Burst module, children will design balloon bursting machines, while learning the importance of gears, motors, springs, and magnets. Finally, in the Action and Adventure Games module, a participant favorite, children will combine physical activity and creativity during fun, energetic games. Games are based on childrens ages and

ability. Local educators will facilitate program modules, and enthusiastic high school and college students will serve as Leadership Interns - ensuring that one staff member is in place for every eight children. Every registration includes a free Camp Invention t-shirt. Visit www.campinvention.org or call 800-968-4332 to reserve your childs spot today. Availability is limited!

CAMP PATHFINDER Est. 1914 Source Lake, Algonquin Park ON www.camppathfinder.com Since 1914, Camp Pathfinder has offered boys the finest residential summer camp experience. Located on Pathfinder Island, Source Lake, in the heart of worldfamous Algonquin Park, Ontario, Pathfinder is all about exciting sports and wilderness canoe trips. The camps owners, Glenn Arthurs and Mike Sladden, attended Pathfinder themselves as boys and counselors. Today, they continue the traditions that attract families from 15 states in the U.S., 4 Canadian provinces and 7 overseas countries. At Pathfinder, we live in a close community of friendship and adventure, said

Sladden, who serves as the camp director. Our campers discover the rewards of being in a spectacular natural setting. Were beautifully rustic, without distractions from phones, computers and iPods. The camp thrives on the Pathfinder traditions of teamwork and leadership. And, campers love our adventure activities. Pathfinder offers Red Cross swimming, ecology, ropes course, canoeing, kayaking, trail and mountain biking, sailing, archery, woods and survival skills, arts, and athletics. Trippers in Pathfinders trademark red wood-canvas canoes cruise the 3,000 square miles of Algonquin. Older boys venture down wild rivers across Ontario and Quebec. Trips range from two days to 25 days, including Temagami, Kipawa, Lake Superior, Western Ontario, Quebec, and rivers to James Bay. Sladden says the expert, highly trained staff of 70 counselors provide a crucial 1:2 ratio that ensures individual attention for every boy. The staff is developed from the camper ranks through multi-year apprenticeships. Chosen for their skills and personality, Pathfinder counselors guide and encourage the next generation. Only 100 boys ages 7-16 are accommodated in each session. Standard Pathfinder sessions are 3 1/2-weeks and 7 weeks for ages 8-16. A special 1-week session is available for new boys ages 7-8. An excellent 2-week session is conducted several times each summer for first-time boys ages 8-12. Accredited by the Ontario Camping Association, member Canadian Camps Association.
