Aspen Properties

The industry standard for thermophysical properties

Aspen Properties provides state-of-the-art physical property methods, models, algorithms, and data for chemists and engineers. Quickly check the properties of pure components or mixtures on your desktop or through the built-in web interface. Users can also include Aspen Properties calculations within Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, facilitating the deployment of consistent physical property data and knowledge across the enterprise.

Consistent and Reliable Results

The process industries are characterized by a wide range of highly complex processes. It is important to have access to the latest and most exhaustive set of physical properties to ensure accuracy and consistency in simulation results. A robust yet flexible physical properties system is the foundation of process modeling. Inaccurate property calculations cause errors in simulation results, which lead to errors in equipment sizing, poor designs, and subsequent operational problems, besides impacting capital and operating costs. Aspen Properties addresses these challenges by providing an extensive set of out-of-the-box parameters, significantly expanding the reach of process modeling to processes that previously were difficult to model.

Key Benefits
Enables all chemists, engineers, and technologists in the enterprise to access the industry standard for thermophysical property calculations Ensures consistent, reliable results throughout the product and process lifecycle through the use of the same rigorous, proven thermophysical property models and data across all engineering applications

The Aspen Properties Excel add-in provides powerful access to physical properties and equilibrium calculations, which enables the quick creation of custom applications (e.g., flammability analysis).
