A Piping engineer has to be conversant with subjects such as fluid handling, stress strain relationship, material of construction, field instrumentation, statutory & safety aspects. Areas like design and selection of complex equipment applications, designing of audit requirements and developing of procedures for testing, installation, commissioning and startup also fall under his profile. There might be some extra lectures on some public holidays and Sundays to accommodate faculty members coming from outside India. However, the exact time-table shall be framed in such a way that corporate executives and working individuals can attend the programme successfully. The course comprises apart from examination at the end of each semester one complete project and presentation of a seminar. During the course, students will carry out assignments, like template & symbol base drawing creation and computer aided program with application of software like Auto CAD, PIPENET, CAEPIPE, CAEFLOW. 12. Examination & Evaluation The evaluation shall be done by 30% Assignments and 70% in Examination. There shall be 2 (two)

Assignments for each course (subject) every semester. The candidates must pass the Assignments and Examinations separately for all the courses (subjects).
