You and I

Yours is an organization that values innovation, flexibility, and hard work. As part of your team, I will support and amplify those values. I strive to embody them in my daily life and career choices, as demonstrated in my work experience below. Not only will I exceed all expectations in my role - I will prove myself a stellar addition to your organization as a whole.

Relevant Experience
Office Manager, Account Manager, AboutUs
I was hired by this small venture-backed web startup to manage payroll, benefits, purchasing and equipment maintenance. I was also accountable for maintaining a web-based repository of all important financial and human resources documentation. Within months of my start date, I took on recruiting, hiring, organizational development, event planning, and travel arrangement. As I streamlined my duties, I was able to add more creative projects to my workload, including video production, article writing, and photography. As I enter my third year, I'm now acting as an account manager for clients who need industry-specific social and weblog content. That means I'm a ghost writer and customer service representative. In addition, I help design the reports we use to track client progress. I do it all. With a smile.

Sales Trainer, The Container Store

As part of an organization nationally recognized for excellence in customer astonishment, education, and a fast-paced work environment, I was tasked with training everyone from new hires to veteran employees in the realms of product knowledge, computer systems and sales tactics. In between managing the sales floor and doing my part to help our store meet sales goals, I scheduled and held training classes and mentored coworkers on the fly. I also had the rare honor of traveling to train sales staff for store openings in New Jersey and Washington.

Admin/Inventory Coordinator Backup, The Container Store

I came onboard as Full-time Sales, but within months I proved myself capable of adding to my duties the role Administrative Coordinator and Inventory Coordinator backup. I was charged with counting register tills and preparing bank deposits twice weekly. In addition, I counted existing inventory once a week and fulfilled preorders when new inventory arrived. Time management was of utmost importance, as I was required to complete my backup duties before the store opened for business.

Media Resources Assistant, Clemson University

With a small grant-funded team of technology enthusiasts known as the Center of Excellence for Instructional Technology Training, I taught teachers how to integrate technology into their classrooms. I taught a section of EDF 315 - Integrating Computers into the Classroom, and provided tech support for professors in the Clemson University School of Education. I traveled to underfunded schools to install donated computers and train staff how to use them. To encourage university students to use video equipment and software, I coordinated a wildly successful campus-wide movie contest: Lights, Camera, Clemson!
