Tzav, Command. Lev. 6: 1 8: 36. I.

. Once again, we find ourselves looking at a Torah Portion that yields its treasures only after one digs far below the surface. The English translation muddles the Living Waters, to such an extent, its content leaves the reader glossy-eyed after attempting to extract any revelation from its unimaginative, prosaic verses. However, all is not lost to the Hebrew student! Who wants more??? I do! First, this is the 25th Parsha of the cycle. 25 is the numeric value of #3160, Ychubbah, translated, hidden! It is from #2247, chavah, to hide oneself. This immediately should caution us to look for places that YHVH has hidden Himself in this Parsha! As we noted, the title word, Tzav, Tzade-Vav, is the 25th parsha of the year. 25 is the gematria of the phrase, Let there be, first seen in Gen. 1:3, where YHVH

- This establishes a mystical connection with todays Torah portion. Let there be: translated, yahi from #1961, hayah, is
declares, Let there be light, part of the Name of YHVH revealed to Moshe at the advent of Israels deliverance from Egypt. The words usage here implies He declared, He would be, exist, be revealed in the physical realm as Light that was, is, and shall be! Light that would last indefinitely! Tzade-Vav, is a picture of the Righteous Man, I.E. Messiah, who would become the Light of the World. This is symbolized in the Perpetual Fire of the Altar. Incidentally, there are 23 letters in Gen. 1:3, the number of chromosomes in the human reproductive cells. And, scientists declare that it takes 23 seconds for blood congealed light - to circulate the entire system. To add to our intrigue, there are 8 verses before (because of difference between the KJV and Hebrew) we get to the title of the Parsha, Tzav, #6680, tsavah, to order, command, to direct or appoint. Since the previous verses deal with specifics that concern a trespass, is it logical to assume the following command is set in motion after one has dealt with the trespass? Lets see: There are 18 letters in our beginning verse. Lev. 6:1. 18 is the gematria of chai, life,

Chavah, living, making alive (Remember, this is after the Fall, she was originally called Woman, #802,
living, alive. It is also the root of Eve, #2332,

'ishshah) chavah as a verb means to announce, to tell, explain, to interpret. She was supposed to explain how to obtain life after the death of the Fall. This was the original TRESPASS! Incidentally, trespass is a result of sin, #2398, chata', which also has a gematria of 18, which is Yod-Chet, Ech, which seems to convey the idea of: to gather; unite, as in Ech-ad. 18 is also a product of 6+6+6, the number associated with the Fallen One! Yet, it was originally that of the Righteous Adam, the Vavd Man! Trespass: #4604, ma`al, a masc. noun meaning an unfaithful act, a treacherous act. It usually applies to acts against YHVH and carries the idea of the actions of a wife against her husband! Its numeric value is 140, the same as the Hebrew word Saph (Samech-Pey) which means a threshold, to cross a doorway, as in marriage! Verse 9 begins with this specific word, Tzav, command, and instructs Aaron and his sons concerning burnt offerings and particularly, the perpetual fire to be kept on that altar. These burnt offerings were on the altar all night to ensure their consumption. *Note what follows as it presents an intriguing sub-plot to help us find what is in fact hidden here: Verse 10: And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar. Lets break this verse apart: Shall put, #3847, labash, to wear, to dress. This term is seen in Mal. 2: 16 and as a metaphor, hints at the wife as a garment that is protected from violence. Ironically, this word has a value of 310, which is the same as Chodesh haAviv, the Month of Aviv Nisan, the month of Redemption Pesach, where Israel is clothed by the Blood and protected from the violence of death! Linen, #906, bad, a masc. noun meaning linen. Remember our studies on the linen garment and its ability to cover the flesh and enhance the reception of the words frequency? Its numeric value is 6, the same as the Hebrew letter Vav the humbled Man. 6 is also the value of #1406, gag, (Gimmel-Gimmel) which indicates a roof or covering (of an altar). Ironically, this is the 2-letter root of another ominous, yet familiar word, #1463,

Gowg, (Gog) the name of the arch enemy of YHVH and Israel, which most believe is also the Anti-Messiah! Whats his connection to this linen garment? Hmmmm? Does he know something of its properties and the significance of these offerings that we somehow have missed until now? Garment, 4055, mad, clothes, tunic. *Note the gematria 45, the same as that of Adam, the first trespasser. Breeches, #4370, miknac, linen undergarments, trousers. It is said to be from the root of #3647, kamas, something reserved, in store, yet conveying the idea of hiding. However, in my opinion this doesnt fit. But, #3664, kanas, does. It means to go in, to gather, to convene, and to be wrapped in. This seems to hint that the priest is protected in the Presence of YHVH by being hidden, assembled, and wrapped in this garment. The Mem prefix indicates the origin of the convoking, the source of the wrapping for protection. He is to put this upon his flesh inferring that his flesh must be hidden cant be seen while attending to his duties, all this before removing the ashes of the previous days offerings. Now, if you recall in Lev 1: 6, the priest is to skin flay, the offerings, the skin he keeps according to the Sages. Lets look at this verse again:

And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces. Some rather unique things are seen in the Hebrew - for example: Flay, #6584, pashat, means to strip off, the action is that of force, violence. Interestingly, this is one of the words used in the acronym PARDeS, Pashat, Remez, Drash, Sod. The 4 levels of interpretation of scripture. Thus, the simple understanding here is that of removing the animals skin. Yet, Father is hiding something for you! Remember that Tet & Tav can be interchangeable, thus pashat can be spelled, #6593, peshet, Pey-Shin-Tav, another word for linen! If we note the Alef-Tav connected to What-Whom is to be flayed/skinned, you can see an example of the Priest taking the Skin, the Blood-Covering of the Alef-Tav, Messiah, WORD-HEBREW for or upon himself as he offers the sacrifice. After the offering is completed, he again must cover himself with the Linen Skin of the WORD, in order to not allow his flesh to be seen! This is still true today! Offering, #5930, `olah, from #5927, `alah, meaning to ascend, go up, it literally means a whole burnt offering that which goes up, is consumed.

However, another cognate word is spelled with the same letters, #5929, `aleh, a noun signifying a leaf. It is first seen in Gen. 3:7 to describe the covering chosen by Adam and Eve after their nakedness is exposed. Fig, #8384, t'en, a fem. Noun meaning a fig. It has the same root as #8383, teun, which can mean, a lie, self-deception. Is it possible that this offering represents the self-deception brought on by a carnal life style and thus the flesh has to die? Cut/Pieces, #5408, #5409,

nathach, to divide, cut into pieces. It is quite interesting to look at another word spelled with these letters, #2860,
chathan, a bridegroom. This is the word used by Zipporah for Moshe in Ex. 4:25, where he is described as a bloody husband dam chathan, after she circumcises their son, (#1647, Gershom, (Ex. 2:22) a compound name from Ger, meaning stranger and Shem, meaning name. If we look at the root letters Gimmel-Resh-Shin, it forms garash, which means to expel, to drive out, and to divorce. The Mem attached indicates chaos, womb, and waters. It could thus mean, One who is a stranger to the Name, having been cut off or divorced by the waters of Chaos-jealousy) she then throws the bloody flesh at his feet - which is a metaphor of the loins striking the loins/doorposts with blood! The Fire on the Altar!

II.

Lev. 6: 13. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. Remember in the past how we discussed the Tabernacle design in the form of a man after the picture of Adam lying on the altar of the earth? *Note the Hebrew words:

Fire, #784, 'esh, fire. Etymologically the same as #376, 'iysh, meaning man. The gematria of Esh, fire is worth observing. 301 and is the same as that of Menorah! Shall ever, #8548, tamiyd, continuity, perpetual, forever. The TavMem root, tam, infers completeness, integrity. Burning, #3344, yaqad, to burn, to set fire. It seems a word pun exists here as well, because yaqad sounds almost like Yachad (Yod-Kaf-Dalet) to become one, Unified. The value of the word is 114, the same as Moed, a divine

appointment and the phrase, Mi Hanidah The waters of uncleanness. In fact the ash from the burning of one sacrifice, the Red Heifer, produces the ash ingredient for the mixture. Altar, #4196, mizbeach, altar. Its gematria, 57 connects it to the word banah, #1129, to begin to build as in a family name. Our extrapolated definition? The Fire Man upon the Altar, will restore the integrity of the UNION that was lost to the bitter waters of uncleanness. He would become the sacrifice that would build and restore the Family! The breech resulting from Adam and Eves trespass is restored by one who is able to stand in the Gap for us! Ezek. 22:30, 31. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

gadar, a wall, fence or hedge. Its gematria is 207 the same as the word for Light, #216,
*Note the words make and hedge: in Hebrew theyre the same, #1447, 'owr. This hedge or fence would be the light, Word, Torah, the Perpetual Fire. Stand, #5975, `amad, to rise up, take a stand. It has the same consonantal root letters as # 5982, ammud, a noun referring to a pillar, as in the PILLAR of FIRE. Gap, #6556, perets, a break, tear, a breach. This was the name of one of Judah and Tamars sons, Pharez, the line through which Messiah would come. If we look at the 2-letter root, the Pey-Resh, Par, which can mean bull as in the sacrificial animal and also the fruit of ones lips. While the Tzade infers righteousness. Hos. 14:2. YHVH sought for a Man, a Fire, to fence (surround or contain) the Light of Torah, the Perpetual Pillar of Fire, and who would heal the breach with the righteous Fruit (Words) of His lips/mouth. None was found thus Messiah came! Interestingly, the word for hedge is gadar and is seen in the Gospel accounts of the Demoniac from Gadara! It is here that Yahshua interjects Light into the Galilee area fulfilling Is. 9:1, 2. He also destroys the source of pagan sacrifice for the area by sending the demons into the swine which were used by the Romans as sacrifice. The same is true today. EASTER HAM ANYONE?

By the way, the word for swine is #2386, chaziyr, swine, pig. Its root, ChetZayin-Resh means to go round, to go back, to return. In Torah it (the pig) is a symbol of hypocrisy - looking kosher (split hoof) but, not chewing its cud) Lev. 11:3. Chewing, #5927, `alah, to ascend, climb, to bring up. The same word is used for the Olah offering! Cud, #1625, gerah, regurgitated food of a ruminant animal. However it is spelled the same as #1624, garah, to meddle, stir up strife, provoke. Yahshua became the Olah offering. He alone was able to heal the breach caused by the strife and provocation of the Trespass that was against us. Remember the Our Fathers Prayer? Forgive our trespasses It is interesting that the pig is the only animal that has these unique traits outwardly acceptable, but the inner analysis reveals the deficiency. The pig therefore became synonymous with hypocrisy. The image of the swine presenting its split hooves as evidence of its purity was a powerful image. Hence, the sacrificial rituals require one who is offered to be without blemish outwardly and inwardly! These Tabernacle rituals teach us by physical patterns a spiritual principal. One cannot become a fit offering by looking clean on the outside. It was the Pig that became the symbol of Esau/Edom/Rome and the exile connected to the House of Israel who followed after their ways. And the Sages teach its very name infers that it the Exile - would one day return. What the Midrash does not say, is that the pig, the very symbol of that exile, would itself return. Rather, Esau the ultimate wayward son, and his outwardly righteous spiritual descendants, will one day return. Remember the Prodigal Son?
