MISSISSIPPI WAS SETUP BY AMS GROUP.....


to serve the young dynamic womens fashion needs for their daily casual clothing. Its fashion concept adapt the street fashion style but ll with detail that keep women's elegant.
The story began in 1979 where a small fashion store opened at PD. Pasar Jaya, Blok M, Jakarta by Irwan Usman, the founder, as his dream from his last two years experience on selling the clothing in Palembang, South Sumatera. Iwan International Famous Female Fashion was the ag for the store that he choose based on his nick name Iwan. Growing through the ups and down of Indonesian economic and political situation, Iwan Fashion keeps expanding through out Indonesia. His strategy to attack from outside was taken to survive in Indonesias fashion market which dominated by international fashion brands in major city like Jakarta. Irwan Usman then decided to expand his business into the modern retail management In 2002 and start develop several fashion brand for different target market. In 2004, the Mississippi brand was established for young women fashion needs. The fashion character is for young dynamic and elegant women for everyday casual usage. the rst store was open in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

THE STORE . . . .

The market acceptance was very good that push the company to open it second store in Balikpapan on 2005. Following that, company keep expanding in other city in Samarinda, Pontianak, Batam, P e k a n B a r u , Yo g y a k a r t a , Surabaya, Padang and so on. Currently the Mississippi has 22 stores, with approximately 1,800 sqm space, operated in 20 cities all over Indonesia. Supported by the companys wholly owned garment manufacturing in Bogor, and its joint venture factory, in China and with more than 10 other garment suppliers around Province of Guangzhou, China, Mississippi will continue to expand to other city in Indonesia.
