As a System Administrator my responsibilities included:

Maintenance & up gradation of existing ERP

I am responsible for maintaining different servers in the organization. The responsibilities

include backup and recovery, maintaining user access and security, scheduling task and batch
runs, and upgrading and maintaining the operating system. Backup and Recovery of the
operating system.

Maintain the RDBMS system. Keep the server up at all times and to provide users with
access to the required information when they need it. To makes sure that the database is
protected and that any chance of data loss is minimized.

Maintain the network. Ensure that Network components are working correctly and that the
network software is set up correctly.

Responsible for maintaining company web sites (Internet/Intranet). Web server maintenance,
and maintaining sites.

Maintaining and setting up the hardware on the different client machines and sometimes on
the server machines. Also Installation of new software on client machines, upgrading client
machines, periodic maintenance, updating virus guards etc.

Upgrading hardware and software periodically, ensuring system scalability.

Train the company’s personnel in relation to the use of computerized system and in helping
personnel to use the hardware and software selected.

Have been associated with Pan Gulf Technologies since July 1999 in the capacity of Project
Leader. Profit is an ERP system designed for small and medium scale industries, having the
following modules.
i) Sales – Provides the inputs to correctly & comprehensively address customer
inquiry & enables generation of purchase requisition after asserting the available
supply sources; Enables authorization and verification of Quotation with
customer purchase order and ensure that all customer deliveries are correctly
invoiced; produces relevant reports to evaluate performance, enhance sales and
monitor credits.
ii) Material Procurement , Planning and Logistics – Computes reorder levels ,
tracks lead time, analysis consumption and works out a procurement plan.
Maintain vendors supply history in terms of quality, documentation and delivery
and makes available pricing trends to enable prompt and correct procurement
decisions. Monitors incoming shipment and computes projected stocks and
provide data on trade liabilities for effective supplier credit management.
iii) Financial Accounts – Features to design multi layered internal organizational
structure and flexible groping options enables accounting data analysis in varied
ways to suit almost every requirement. Independent cost centers with their own
grouping structure provides additional avenue for data classification and
performance evaluation. Purpose oriented Vouchers automate postings , reduce

 errors and structure financial procedures. Facility maintain accounts in different
currencies.
iv) Inventory – Automates the stores functionality by creating dispatch and goods
receipts notes against authorizations from relevant departments and permits multi
warehouse , multi unit, multi category and batch wise with expiry date inventory
management.
v) Executive Information System – User friendly reports derived from all
functional modules are available at desired location. Drill down facility
permits quick analysis of how and why; Brief concise reports with key
figures provide the top management with the essentials for quick and
effective decisions.

Above all it is a multi user multi branch system with the facility to transfer data between
branches. Profit keeps track of all the user permissions on each form and reports to make sure
only authorized personals have the access.

Developed More than 18 Big & Small Applications and implemented more than 36
client places.
