About iTunes

iTunes makes it easy to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows and more on your PC, iPhone, iPad, or iPod. iTunes includes the iTunes Store, a place you can download everything you need to be entertained, day or night. iTunes now stores your purchases in iCloud and makes them available on your devices anywhere, anytime, at no additional cost. iTunes now also includes iTunes Match. Store your entire music library in iCloud so you can enjoy your collection anywhere, anytime with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, computer, or Apple TV.

What's new in iTunes 10.6.1


iTunes 10.6.1 provides a number of improvements, including: Fixes several issues that may cause iTunes to unexpectedly quit while playing videos, changing artwork size in Grid view, and syncing photos to devices. Addresses an issue where some iTunes interface elements are incorrectly described by VoiceOver and WindowEyes. Fixes a problem where iTunes may become unresponsive while syncing iPod nano or iPod shuffle. Resolves an ordering problem while browsing TV episodes in your iTunes library on Apple TV. iTunes 10.6.1 requirements


Hardware: PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD processor and 512MB of RAM To play Standard Definition video from the iTunes Store, an Intel Pentium D or faster processor, 512MB of RAM, and a DirectX 9.0compatible video card is required. To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor, 1GB of RAM, and an Intel GMA X3000, ATI Radeon X1300, or NVIDIA GeForce 6150 or better is required. To play 1080p HD video, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor,

2GB of RAM, and an Intel GMA X4500HD; ATI Radeon HD 2400; Nvidia GeForce 8300 GS or better is required. Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras 16-bit sound card and speakers Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store iTunes-compatible CD or DVD recorder to create audio CDs, MP3 CDs, or back-up CDs or DVDs Software: Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, 32-bit editions of Windows Vista, or 32-bit editions of Windows 7 64-bit editions of Windows Vista or Windows 7 require the iTunes 64bit installer; for more information, visit www.itunes.com/download 200MB of available disk space Screen reader support requires Window-Eyes 7.2 or later; for information about accessibility in iTunes, visit www.apple.com/accessibility iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match availability may vary by country.
