TR ACK #1: THE CHANGING SURVEY L ANDSCAPE Surveyors today face a dramatically different landscape than even 20 years ago. GPS/GNSS, Robotic Total Stations, Direct Reex Distance Measurement, and Virtual Reference Station (VRS) technology, along with a plethora of new software programs, have added powerful new tools to the surveyors toolbox. This track offers a sampling of the changing role of the surveyor and unique applications of surveying technology. Trimble is pleased to offer Professional Development Hour (PDH)* credits for qualied courses offered at Dimensions 2006. Qualied courses carry accreditation from the University of Missouri Rolla (UMR). Each participant will receive an ofcial transcript from UMR listing all PDH courses attended during the conference to include credit hours. The ofcial transcript may be presented to state and local agencies for educational credits toward professional licenses. ST432 All attendees who wish to receive PDH credits must be aware that the credit hour requirement is in the ratio of 50 minutes per 60 minutes of course length. Attendees with a minimum attendance of 49 minutes or less per course hour will not receive credit for the respective course. New for 2006, an intelligent card** will be your identication badge and means of entrance to ALL events at Dimensions. Special Notice: When attending sessions for which PDH credits are awarded (see conference schedule), it will be your responsibility to make sure the card is read when you enter the session and when you leave. If your attendance is not recorded by an entrance time AND exit time stamp, you will not receive credit for the course. If your attendance at the session is not a minimum of 50 minutes per 60 minutes of session time, you will not receive credit for the course. A record of each participant receiving PDH credits will be linked to and maintained at UMR. Should you require access to your records in the future, you will be able to do so via UMR.
