Th e tar.gz file include following files or folders: Vivo_3G.tar.gz This is a installition packet; install.sh This is a setup script; tools There are somes need needed dependencies in the path. ===================== WHAT IS Vivo_3G ===================== The Vivo_3G is a application software for Linux and it is a manager for the mob ile device. It will allow you to stablish a connection to the Internet using 2G/3G cards, and it will als o allow to send and receive short messages from your computer. In order to use your 2G/3G device, you should run a fairly recent version of th e Linux kernel. The application has been tested on Linux 2.6.20 and newer. If you have an older version installed, we would recommend to update it before going on. Vivo_3G currently runs under Fedora 8/9/10/11, uBuntu8.04/8.10/9.04, Debian 4.0 /5.0,OpenSuse10.3/11. ==================== INSTALLATION ==================== Before installation, make sure you have the needed dependencies installed (qt3, wvdial1.5.6 or newer). Make sure you are in root privilege. The steps of installation are as following: - Copy the installation packet "VivoBra_LinuxUI.tar.gz" to Desktop or other pat h; - extract and get a folder, the folder include following files or folders: Vivo_3G.tar.gz This is a installition packet; install.sh This is a setup script; tools There are somes need needed dependencies in the path. - Double install.sh in the directory to install Vivo_3G; - If installation is ok, then show infomation "After setup, you will find the " /opt/Vivo_3G/Vivo_3G" in "Applications->Internet->Vivo_3G".
