SF98010 - This PSP provides information that should be reviewed before installing i 5.4 or i 5.4.5 and before adding new program products. SF98168 - This PSP file contains information about Upgrades & Migrations, including: PTFs that are critical to operations that occur during the upgrade process and corrections to the Upgrade and Migration topics in the Information Center (i 5.4 and i 5.4.5). SF98016 - A file containing the "Memo To User's" and the "Read This First" documents is available by ordering this PTF number. A printed copy of these documents is included with every i 5.4 and i 5.4.5 shipment. This file is available as a convenience for those users who misplace their original copy. useful. MF98540 - This PSP provides information that should be reviewed before installing new systems or hardware devices. Problems that may affect the installation or operation of hardware devices are documented here. MH98540 - HMC code must be current prior to installing the latest server firmware. MH98541 - This document applies to IBM i operating systems that have the Firmware Update Policy set to Operating System or systems not managed by an HMC. The server firmware information in this document does not apply to Model 595 systems. Server firmware fixes are ordered (using the SNDPTFORD command or Fix Central) and installed as PTFs using the IBM i operating system PTF installation functions. G E N E R A L I N F O R M A T I O N -------------------------------------This section contains general information concerning the installation and operation of i 5.4 and i 5.4.5. 9. 12 Jan 2010 Information APAR II14533 contains information about Transport Layer Security (TLS) Handshake Renegotiation vulnerability. 8. 06 Jan 2010 Some of the host names and IP addresses used to connect to IBM service have changed. If your system is not using the new host names and IP addresses, your system may no longer be able to connect to IBM service after February 1, 2010. Verify PTF SI34505 is applied to your system and follow the special instructions. PTF SI34505 is included in cumulative PTF package C9104540. 7. 06 Feb 2009 The DMIBMUPGR upgrade command may fail to complete when upgrading to iCluster 5.2 from earlier releases. Existing iCluster 5.2 installations may experience a duplicate key error if a large number of objects are being created and deleted continuously from a replication group. The fix for these problems are contained within iCluster 5.2 TFE1 fixpack. Obtain iCluster 5.2 TFE1 from Fix Central, install it and run the metadata adjustment program at your earliest convenience. 6. 11 Nov 2008 When a 9406-MMA MES adds one or more 5801 1/4-processor drawers to their server, even

though no edition feature is changed with this MES, the QPRCFEAT value will be changed as part of this upgrade to reflect a larger number of installed processors. The user should check with their software vendors for licensing and key implications. 5. 01 Nov 2007 When upgrading to i 5.4 or i 5.4.5 and have Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (IASPs) configured, select to Keep Disk Configuration on the Prepare for install option at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/systems/ scope/i5os/topic/rzahc/choosediskconfig. htm#choosediskconfig 4. 17 Aug 2006 Information APAR II14188 contains information about New Firmware and Software Requirements for processor upgrades (MES). 3. 29 Jun 2006 If upgrading from i 5.2 to i 5.4 or i.5.4, DO NOT use the option in the prepare for install menu to allocate License Internal Code space.
