How they chose the location and the symbolic importance of the presidents. This book is good for social studies because it tells about Mt. Rushmore.

This book is appealing because it has great pictures and information that is at the students level of understanding. In this book the monetary system and the faces that go with each piece of money is put to the tune of a song. This book is good for social studies because it teaches students about money.

In this book you go through each of the fifty states and hear a story about the history that took place in that state. This book is good for social studies because it could be used to teach students about each state. It is appealing because it tells a story as it goes along. It has nice illustrations that help students understand what they are learning about.

Target Population Social Studies Strand Name of Website URL This website is good for teachers to use to teach economics. It has several different articles that is written for kids. Along the side is other related topics that you can go to. This is good for social studies because you can use it to teach students about economics. This is appealing because you can read the articles to the students. They are written for their level so they can understand easier. This website has different places for kids and teachers to go to. At the bottom you can choose some places to travel to and learn facts about. There are also games for kids to play that are about social studies. This is a good website for social studies because a student can do many different things. This is appealing because you can have students assigned to different games or places to go and have them tell you things about what they leaned. On this website a student can learn about Yellowstone. There are videos and pictures to explore Yellowstone from their computer screens. This site is appealing because it has the videos to actually watch a geyser or see a waterfall. This is good for social studies because students can learn and see what Yellowstone looks like. This website has links that take kids to explanations of the three branches of government and how they work. This site is appealing because it has easy to read statements that students can understand. It also has nice pictures to help in understanding.
