ADSL MODEM (SmartAX882)CONFIGURATION FOR MULTIUSER/ALWAYS ON CONNECTIVITY

SmartAX MT882 (LAN/USB) 1) Connect the ADSL Modem (MT882) to your PC with the Ethernet Cable (RJ45) or USB cable. 2) Configure the TCP/IP settings of the LAN card / Huawei SmartAX MT 882 (USB) of your PC . For this double click on My computer then go to Control Panel then go to Network connections then right click on Local Area Connection go to properties then double click on Internet Protocol TCP/IP.Click on Use the following IP address.Now enter the IP addresses mentioned below correctly in respective places and press OK. { For Win-98 My computer then Control Panel then Network then TCP/IPRealtek or D-link or Intelpro or whatever the name of the LAN card the user is using. Click on Specify following IP address. Put IP address and subnet mask. Then click on Gateway put gateway in New Gateway click on Add. Then click on DNS configuration, enable DNS Put Host dataone Domain bsnl now put DNS server addresses one by one in DNS server search order and click Add. Now click on ok ok the PC will prompt for restart, restart the PC.} I.P. Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway Preferred DNS Alternate DN board. 4) On the page opened type User as admin and password as admin. Click OK. 5) Expand the Home option by clicking (+) sign . Click on WAN Settings. Click on Wan Type = PPP. 6) check Connection Type = PPPoE, VPI/VCI = 0 / 35, Encap. = LLC , Default Route = Enabled. 7) Check DNS = Enabled, Max Idle Time = Always On. 8) Type your username and password of dataone. Click Apply. 9) Reboot the Modem & wait till both Link & LAN indicators reappears with Orange colour and are steady. 10) Now your Modem is configured in Always On OR Multiuser connectivity. 11) For using the connection in more than one computer connect the Modem to a Ethernet Switch and connect the other PCs to the same Ethernet Switch with RJ45 Ethernet cables and give their IP as 192.168.1.11 1213 and so on. Gateway and DNS are same as above. 12) For resetting Modem to default factory setting, press Reset at back by a ball pen refill for 5 secs in ON condition. :- 192.168.1.10 :- 255.255.255.0 :- 192.168.1.1 :- 218.248.255.145 :- 61.1.96.71

3) Open the Internet explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 > Press Enter on key
