GUIDE FOR APPLYING ENTRY VISA

TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE UNION OF MYANMAR

TIME INFO. Visa Application Hours (Monday to Friday ) 09:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Visa Collection Hours (Monday to Friday ) Evening : 04:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. Processing Time (2) working days. Visa Section strongly recommends that applicants should not purchase plane tickets or make unchangeable travel plans before obtaining a visa.

Documents must be provided. One copy of duly filled Entry Visa Application Form which has to be duly filled and signed by the applicant. Affix 2 recent photos of 1 x 2 inches with white colour background. Provide applicants Name Card or Visiting Card or Business Card, a photocopy of a page of passport with the applicants photo shown and a photocopy of IC/ PR/ EP/ Student Pass (Both sides). Validity of passport (at least 6 months validity).

Tourist Visa Tourist visas are valid for (3) months. Period of stay in Myanmar is 28 Days from date of arrival. One copy of duly filled Entry Tourist Visa Application Form which has to be duly filled and signed by the applicant. Provide applicants Name Card or Visiting Card or Business Card, a photocopy of a page of passport with the applicants photo shown and a photocopy of IC/ PR/ EP/ Student Pass ( Both sides). Affix 2 recent photos of 1 x 2 inches with white colour background. Valid passport (at least 6 months validity).

Social Visit Visa Former Myanmar Citizens, a spouse (a foreigner who married with Myanmar Citizen) of a Myanmar National, children of a Myanmar National and a Foreigner, who surrendered Myanmar Citizenship are allowed to apply only for a social visit visa. Social Visit visas are valid for (3) months. Period of stay in Myanmar is 28 Days from date of arrival. One copy of duly filled Social Visit Visa application form which has to be duly signed by the applicant and CV form. A foreigner who married with Myanmar citizen must provide a copy of marriage certificate. Provide a photocopy of a page of passport with the applicants photo shown and a photocopy of IC/ PR/ EP/ Student Pass ( Both sides) and 3 recent photos of 1 x 2 inches with white colour background. The applicant who needs visa urgently must provide bona fide evidence, i.e. death certificate of applicant's kin, hospitalization certificates, together with return air ticket. The application deadline is before 3:30 pm.

Business Visa (Single Entry) -Valid for (3) months. Period of stay in Myanmar is (70) Days from date of arrival. (Multiple Journey Entry Visa ) -Validity varies from minimum (6) months to maximum (1) year from date of issue. The applicants who would like to apply Multiple Journey Entry Visa must have been applied at least (3) times Business Entry Visa within One year. Period of stay in Myanmar restricted to (70) Days from date of arrival. One copy of duly filled Business Visa application form which has to be duly signed by the applicant. Submit an original invitation letter to the applicant from a registered company in Myanmar & Recommendation letter from a company in Singapore (Original in the companys letter head). Provide applicants Name Card or Business Card or Visiting Card, a photocopy of a page of passport with the applicants photo shown , a photocopy of IC/ PR/ EP/ Student Pass ( Both sides) and 2 recent photos of 1 x 2 inches with white colour background.
