Ivory 3

Installation de Ivory Version 1.60 (Macintosh):

Double-cliquez sur Ivory 1.60 Upgrade.mpkg pour lancer l'installeur et suivez les instructions. Aprs un texte d'introduction, vous serez invit consulter quelques informations utiles, ainsi qu' lire et accepter le contrat de licence. Ensuite, il vous sera demand de slectionner un volume de destination. Pour cette tape, choisissez le volume o rside votre systme. La prochaine tape consiste choisir le type d'installation. Par dfaut le choix est Easy Install, ce qui installera le plug-in, les utilitaires pour la banque de sons ainsi que la documentation. Si vous voulez ter un lment de l'installation, cliquez sur le bouton Personnaliser. Dcochez les cases correspondant aux paquets que vous ne dsirez pas installer. Ensuite, cliquez sur le bouton Installer afin de poursuivre l'installation. L'installeur localisera votre dossier "Ivory Items" et y placera les utilitaires ainsi que la documentation.

Installation de Ivory Version 1.60 (PC)

Double-clicquez sur "Install Ivory 1.60 Upgrade" pour lancer l'installer et suivez les instructions. Aprs un message de bienvenue, vous serez invit lire et accepter le contrat de licence avant de procder l'installation. Lorsqu'il vous sera demand de localiser votre dossier "Ivory Items", utilisez le navigateur situ au bas de la fentre. Aprs que vous ayez localis le dossier "Ivory Items", vous pourrez installer le plug-in, les utilitaires pour sa banque de sons, ainsi que la documentation. Si vous avez opt pour l'installation du plug-in VST, sachez que la version stand alone est galement disponible. Par dfaut, tous les lments seront installs. Passez la page suivante pour valider vos choix. Clicquez sur Suivant pour dmarrer l'installation. L'installeur vous demandera de localiser les dossiers dont il a besoin afin d'installer correctement les plug-ins aux formats que vous avez choisis. Applications VST uniquement : les applications VST (telles que Cubase, Nuendo, ou Logic) requirent que les plug-ins VST soient installs dans un dossier spcifique. Dans la plupart des cas, l'application VST reconnatra les plug-ins placs dans le dossier Vstplugins lui-mme situ dans le dossier Program Files. Les applications htes Steinberg peuvent galement partager un dossier de plug-ins commun. Si vous voulez utiliser Ivory dans plusieurs applications VST, copiez manuellement le fichier .dll du plug-in que vous aurez install dans le dossier de votre choix, vers le dossier de l'application hte dsir. Par exemple, Cubase VST hberge des plug-ins VST dans son dossier Vstplugins. Cubase VST 5.0 peut galement hberger des plug-ins dans un dossier commun appel Shared VST Plug-ins Folder. Ce dossier est gnralement situ dans : C:\ProgramFiles\Steinberg\Vstplugins. Dans tous les cas, si vous dsirez installer le plug-in Ivory au sein d'autres applications VST, il est conseill de vous rfrer la documentation relative ces applications.

Les Presets et le navigateur de Keysets

Ivory version 1.60 prsente plusieurs amliorations au niveau de l'interface utilisateur. Les habitus de Ivory remarqueront certainement la disparition du manu droulant de slection des Keysets et des Presets, remplac par un navigateur destin slectionner presets et keysets. Les Programmes, Sessions, Effets et Courbes de vlocit bnficient tous de ce nouveau systme de navigation (le menu Synth Layer conserve quant lui son menu droulant). L'interface du navigateur offre une plus grande flexibilit en organisant et triant vos presets. Pour ouvrir le navigateur, il suffit de cliquer sur la zone de slection d'un preset ou d'un keyset. L'aspect du navigateur prsente quelques lgres diffrences sur Mac et PC. Voici quelques photos d'cran des deux navigateurs en action.

Le navigateur d'effets de Windows

Au lancement de Ivory, vos presets seront automatiquement tris par catgorie. Les preset d'usine seront spars des presets utilisateur. Les presets situs dans le dossier Ivory Items seonr dplacs dans des sous-dossiers reprsentant chacun une catgorie. Les Programmes d'usine seront quant eux organiss par modle de piano, et les effets par type. Des captures d'cran illustrent cette organisation. YVous pouvez galement crer vos propres dossiers dans le dossier "Ivory Items" (voir plus loin pour plus de dtails). Si vous choisissez d'organiser vos presets de cette manire, vous pourrez naviguer dans vos propres dossiers au sein de l'interface de Ivory. Il est dconseill de placer vos presets utilisateur dans les dossiers d'usine qui ont t crs. Sur Mac, les dossiers sont affichs en face des presets. Sur PC, les dossiers apparaissent dans la colonne de gauche de l'arborescence. Vous pouvez changer les critres de tri des presets en cliquant en haut des colonnes du navigateur. Ces colonnes affichent un certain nombre d'informations relatices chaque type de preset. A l'ouverture d'un navigateur, le preset ou keyset actuellement slectionn est surlign pour reprage. Pour slectionner un autre preset, double-cliquez dessus. Lorsque'un preset est enregistr, il est stock dans le dossier User (Utilisateur). Comme stipul prcdemment, vous pouvez organiser vos presets dans vos propres dossiers en utilisant les procdures de votre systme d'exploitation. Par exemple, tous vos Programmes se trouvent dans : Ivory Items/Presets/Programs. Dans le dossier "Programs" vous trouverez les dossiers par catgorie, chacun contenant ses Programmes. Pour crer vos propres dossiers de catgories, crez simplement un nouveau dossier dans le dossier Programs et dplacez les presets de votre dossier User vers vos nouveaux dossiers. Au prochain lancement de Ivory, vos dossiers apparaitront par catgorie au travers desquels vous pourrez naviguer par le biais du navigateur de Ivory.

Akerte d'expiration de la priode d'essai dans le navigateur de Keysets

Les keysets du Pack d'extension apparaitront dans le navigateur de Keysetssi votre "Expansion Pack" a bien t autoris avant l'chance des trois jours de la priode d'essai. Sinon, les keysets non autoriss ne seront pas accessibles, et seront affichs dans une catgorie nomme "Expired".

IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT OR UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE, YOU SHOULD NOT INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AND PROMPTLY RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND. 1. License Grant. Subject to the restrictions set forth below, Synthogy, LLC, as Licensor (hereafter Synthogy), hereby grants you, the Licensee (hereafter called you), a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the Software/Soundware in accordance with the applicable end user and technical documentation provided by Synthogy. Use of these sounds in the product is limited to use within original music compositions. YOU MAY: (a) install the enclosed Software/Soundware on more than one computer; (b) physically transfer the Software/ Soundware from one computer to another provided that it is used only by the purchaser, and only on one computer at a time; (c) make one copy of the Software/ Soundware, in machine-readable form, solely for backup purposes; provided you include all copyright and other proprietary rights notices on the copy. Use of the Software/Soundware or any of its sounds in another digital sampler, or mixing, filtering, reprocessing, re-synthesizing, or otherwise editing the Software/Soundware for use in another product is strictly prohibited. Synthogy, LLC retains all rights not expressly granted. Nothing in this Agreement constitutes a waiver of Licensors rights under the U.S. Copyright laws or any other federal or state law. Synthogy monitors other Soundware and Software releases in vigilance of any copyright infringements, and will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Music producers may use Synthogy libraries on any commercial music release (including music libraries) with the confidence that the sounds are guaranteed 100% COPYRIGHT CLEAN. Every sound on a Synthogy disc has been precleared for musical use. Once you have purchased a disc, no additional licensing fees are required to use it in your music compositions. However, all products require a specific crediting for Ivory in the liner notes of the music release. Screen credit for Film/TV use is not required. Multimedia and Game

Ivory 9 Music use of Ivory is restricted to use within the musical compositions themselves. 4. Ownership. The license granted hereunder does not constitute a transfer or sale of ownership rights in or to the Software/ Soundware. Except for the license rights granted above, Synthogy retains all right title and interest in and to the Software/Soundware including all intellectual property rights therein. The Software/Soundware is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including United States copyright laws and international treaties. 5. Term and Termination. This License shall be effective upon installation of the Software/Soundware and shall terminate upon the earlier of (a) your failure to comply with any term of this License; (b) return, destruction or deletion of all copies of the Software/Soundware in your possession. Synthogys rights and your obligations shall survive termination of this License. 6. Updates. Synthogy may, from time to time, revise the performance of its products and in doing so, incur NO obligation to furnish such revisions to any LICENSOR customer. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current Software/Soundware, including the release of new properties, shall be subject to terms of this License, and shall be provided at the sole discretion of Synthogy. 7. NO OTHER WARRANTIES. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH ABOVE, THE SOFTWARE/SOUNDWARE IS PROVIDED ON AN AS IS BASIS. YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE/SOUNDWARE.
