ISTE's NETS for Teachers (NETST) are the standards for evaluating the skills and knowledge educators need to teach, work, and learn in an increasingly connected global and digital society. As technology integration continues to increase in our society, it is paramount that teachers possess the skills and behaviors of digital age professionals. The National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) are a set of standards published by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) for the purpose of leveraging the use of technology in K-12 education to enable students to learn effectively and live p productively in an increasingly digital society. y gy g y The NETS are the standards for learning, teaching, and leading in the digital age and are widely recognized and adopted worldwide.

Skills and knowledge students need to learn effectively and live productively in a digital world. Within NETS for Students there are six Performance Indicators. Each Performance Indicator indicates and outlines what the student should be able to achieve within technological literacy by the completion of a school year. year The Performance Indicators are guidelines where the students are aware of the programs goals and what they are attempting to achieve to meet NETS standards.
