Calculate the area enclosed between the survey line, the irregular boundary line, and first and last offsets by the application of a) Trapezoidal rule and b) Simpsons rule. The following perpendicular offset was taken from a chain line curved boundary of a plot at an interval of 20m. 25.20m, 28.40m, 30.30m, 28.20m, 29.60m and 27.60m. Compute the area of the plot by (i) Trapezoidal rule (ii) (ii) Simpson rule. The following staff readings were observed successively with level, the instrument having been shifted after second and fifth readings 0.870; 1.635; 2.135; 1.280; 2.980 3.125; 0.120; 1.825; 2.765; 2.015 The first reading was taken with the staff held upon a bench mark of elevation 100.00. Enter the readings in level book and final reduced levels. Apply the arithmetic checks. Find also the difference in level between the first and last points th th The following consecutive reading was taken with a level, the instrument having been shifted after 4 and 7 readings. R.L of the starting point is 100.00m. Enter the readings in the form of a level book page and reduce the level by, (i) High of the collimation method, (ii) Rise and fall method. 2.650, 3.740, 3.830, 5.270, 4.640, 0.380, 0.960, 1.640, 2.840, 3.480, 4680. The bench mark of staff is 10m which is the known elevation of a. the reading at a is first noted as 0.88m. then reading of staff at B is noted as 0.46m, after adjusting the bubble to be at the center and the telescope becomes horizantal. (i) Find the reduce level of B. Diffrentiate between hight of colimation method and rise and fall method of leveling. 1. 2.
