CASE STUDY
INDIA is a developing country. Day after day it increases its opportunities across the world. Now the days it discovers new values in between different countries. INDIA is taking a pioneer step in the field of transportation. it was a dream coming true for delhites, but today all new horizons DELHI METRO is running on the edge. Metro has anonly gained stupendous renowdness. Metro is encarved with multiple special features namely enormous speed, clean and healthy environment, euphemistic staff, dazzling METRO station and many more countless features. But above all the rest is it facilities passengers by providing different modes of payment [Ticket slip, Tokens and prepaid digital cards] thus making traveling tension free. Metro is covering 5 Stations in the Delhi. thus, to transact the above information and also other related; DELHI METRO is going to computerized, so that the DELHI METRO TRAIN DATABASE is a source to gather information of the related data. DELHI METRO DATABASE is a platform of all the problems. The trains are perfectly suited to meet all the requirement of the passengers that they want. METRO Corporation has METRO trains running on different routes with different number of seats. For each and every train, train number is used to distinguish them; also their routes and station are recorded. Trains are related to the routes followed by itself. Tickets are also representative of them selves as collecting by the station for the train. Total number of worker is very important which determines workers in train, station and department.

Specifically routes have its own destination and source. And total number of train, station of the particular route is determined. Passengers are distinguished by their own ID number. And they are directly related to tickets which they buy for traveling.

Employees have at least one department. And their salary is paid on the basis of their working hours and of course dates of joining. They are also categorized in their working area i.e. train or station, empcode and salary is treated uniquely. Department has also separate uniqueness. Luggage charge will be calculated as follows:Luggage Deadline<=10kg More than 10kg. eg.12 Total charge=12%of [ticket] +Ticket charge Income of the particular station is calculated for the particular station is calculated for the particular day. Profit or loss of the day is calculated by subtracting Expenditures [like ticketing cost, maintenance cost and salary paid] from the total income of the day. Total charge executed will be paid by passenger. Employees are distinguishing by their code and department. Source and destination play important role in route information. They also have their type i.e. On the floor, under construction etc. number of employees working in a department on employees number. Income for the whole day for the particular station is dependent on expenditure, turnovers; income source. Maintenance should be separated by its type and name.

PROBLEM DEFINATION
DELHI METRO is a pioneer step in the field of transportation. But it is a worst problem for the employees of DMRC; to transact each and everything in records. Because there are lots of records that they need to be recorded in the files and vice-versa. It is completely wastage of time and money. Employees [for recording and maintaining files] are engaged in providing list of employee, trains and station, also the tasks of income and its sources. There are so many stations on different routes. it is also possible that the recorded file may be damaged or destroyed. They are incomplete and provide in consistency. These tasks are difficult to record manually which become a worst problem, resultant we find in accuracy and duplicity in reports. Due to overcome this problem, DMRC requires themselves to be COMPUTERIZED. They need DBMS professionals for creation, maintenance and updation of data also query analyst for different kinds of queries and reports.

MODULE DESCRIPTION

1) MODULE 1[EMPLOYEE-DETAIL] Description: This module contains the details of all Employees, and has the facility to add new Employee detail, to delete the data of existing detail, and to find the details of the existing employee. All the details of employees are stored in database 10g, and the desired data can be accessed through the front-end (Java), and all the basic operation (Insert, delete and update) are performed through Front-end.

2) MODULE 2[DEPARTMENT-DETAIL] Description: The modules contains the detail of existing department such as (HR, Security, and Finance etc.) and have the facility of adding to new department, deleting the existing department and searching of departments to get the basic details such as number of employee working, department head name, contact no etc.

3) MODULE 3[TRAIN-DETAIL] Description: This module contains the details of trains such as train identification number, route number, and total round, source and destination address. Module has the facility to modify the details of appropriate details such as adding new trains deleting and searching of trains.

4) MODULE 4[SECURITY-DETAIL] Description: This module contains all the details of security staff, and has the facility of manipulation of the security, you can also add, delete and the search of desired records.

5) MODULE 5[INCOME AND EXPENDITURE-DETAIL] Description: This module is mainly designed to calculate the total income and expenditure of a station. It contains the sources of income such token cost, advertising and expenditure such as staff salary, electricity charges, and finally calculate the profit and loss; you can save the details of this module and also can perform the basic operation.

6) MODULE 6[SMART CARD HOLDER-DETAIL] Description: The module is designed to contain the detail of smart card holder, such as card no, name, issue detail, valid up to and contact number you can add the record of new card holder, delete the existing card holder, and searching of existing detail.

7) MODULE 7[TYPES OF TRAIN] Description: This module is only information module and contains the information of red line, blue line, and yellow line. It contains the information of source station, destination station etc.

8) MODULE 8[ROUTE MAP] Description: This form contains the map of all routes; this form is designed only for getting the route information

9) MODULE 9[PASSWORD-MANAGEMENT] Description: This module contains the details of authorization, if the user has the correct user name and password then only he is able to access this project, and this module is also responsible for changing sthe password, only if the user has the current password.
