ASSIGNMENT International Management Presentation Group Assignment (30%) Brief: Working in groups of 4 or 5, you are required to conduct in-depth secondary research and prepare a presentation regarding a transnational company listed on the stock exchange. Please ensure that you do not present the same company as any other group from any class. In addition do not replicate work that you have done for another module. This requires new research and an original presentation in the context of the International Management module. Your presentation will be 30 minutes in length and should focus on the following: 1. Your transnational companys overview: its core activities, current stock price compared to five years back, global presence, number of employees, its major competitors.

2. Strategies your company has employed over the years to sustain growth in terms of: A. Revenues or market share (external growth through M&As, Joint ventures, etc. Also outline some of the difficulties these strategic alliances have brought and how these challenges were overcome. It would help at this stage to do a comparative analysis with your main competitor to see what they are doing and how different or similar your companys strategies are). B. Human resources (how has it managed to secure top employees and what staff

development opportunities are in place. Provide a percentage growth in staff for the last five years).
