Thng th nh High Resolution cao hn nh Low Resolution khong 100 pixels. Trong nh ny ta ap dng 58 pixels. K tip bm OK. Step 3: Control-J copy phn c chn ln layer mi. Nu bn "tt con mt" layer background th bn s thy vng chn ( c "feather") trn layer 1.

Step 4: i mode t "nomal" sang "screen". nh sau khi vng ti c nng ln (vng sng khng b nh hng)

Sau khi lm cho nh sng, step cui cng (ca c 2 phng php) l flatten image. C ngha l nh c to bi nhng "lp" (layer), ta cn phi lm "bp" :) n li thnh 1 lp. Vo ci tam gic nh bn phi pha trn ca layer panel, bn s thy command "Flatten Image".

Step 5: Ci slider , nu nhn k n c 2 tam gic. Ci tam gic bn tri n nh hng ti phn highlight. tch n ra: Gi Alt phm, ng thi ko ci tam gic tri v bn tri khong 50 lm l (reveal) phn highlight.

Sau khi bm Ok, th ta s thy hnh c tng density vo phn highlight -> tng phn hn vi phn shadow. (Mun bit effect ny nh hng g ti highlight, ch cn tt con mt ca background layer) y l phn density c thm vo:

Nhn vo nh ta thy phn highlight nhn mn v rc (soft, glow), nhng phn shadow b mt chi tit. Step 3: Ging nh cch 1, m "Layer Style" dialogue box, nhng ln ny bo v phn shadow 100 v l phn highlight 25.

Nu bn mun bit effect ny nh hng g n phn highlight, ch cn tt con mt ca background layer.

Step 4: Flatten nh v ta da, here you go :)

Tip 9: "Man! You look sharp!" Tip ny ni v k thut dng "Unsharp Mask" Filter cho chn dung. Tip ny p dng cho nh High Res nn s khng c nh minh ha v nh trn din n ch dnh cho Web (tc l nh LowRes). Nu bn thy c xanh qu th c th gim Opacity xung cn 30% hay 40%.

Step 1: Control-J copy nh ln layer mi. Ta s t mu trn layer copy ny, v nu ta c qu tay t nhiu qu hay lm sai ta ch c vic delete layer ny m khng nh hng n layer di. Step 2: Bm ln "Set Foreground Layer", di ci vng trn la mu m bn mun t.

Step 3: La "soft edge brush" trn Tool Panel, set mode Soft Light, Opacity 30% trn Option Bar.

Step 4: Ri by gi l phn "" nht. Vi ci tng mu th bn chn Foreground Color m sng hn 1 t (bng cch di ci vng trn nh vo vng ti), ri t "hn nhin" ln ci tng . Tng t nh vy vi mu vng, green, blue.... Lu , t va va thi nhe coi chng mu le lot qu ging nh GO BEYOND THE REAL WORLD (ta ca tip ny :lol: )

Tip 11: The Power of Darkness. Thng th ch ca mt tm nh l thuc v phn highlight, nhng chnh phn shadow p lm ni bt phn

highlight. Phn shadow gip cho vic loi b nhng chi tit khng cn thit, hng mt ngi nhn vo ch , v lm cho nh thm phn kch tnh. Cho nn iu chnh t l gia highlight v shadow quyt nh n ci "hn" (mood) ca nh. C 3 cch thng dng iu chnh phn shadow: Vignette technique, Color range, v Magic wand. 1. Vignette Technique: Phng php ny thng c dng khi chung quanh ch c nhiu vt th "distracting" v sng lm cho nhi nhn b chia tr. khc phc, 4 gc ca s c lm ti i hng mt ngi nhn vo trung tm. (xem nh di)

Step 1: Bm vo nt "Create a new layer" trn layer panel to nn 1 layer trng (blank layer).

Step 2: Bm phm "D" set foreground mu en. Gi Alt key, ng thi bm phm "backspace" lm cho "layer trng" mu en.

Step 3: Ko Opacity ca "layer trng" t 100 xung 0. Chn Elliptical Marquee Tool trn Tool panel. V vng trn chung quanh mt ch .

Step 4: Vo Select -> Feather: set feather: 15. Bm phm "Backspace" xa i vng chn (c l "en". Control-D b vng chn (deselect).

Step 5: Nng Opacity ca layer "en" ln khong 30 lm cho nhng vng chung quanh "ti" i. That's it. :lol:

2. Color Range Technique: nh di ta thy ch ni bt, tuy nhin lm ni bt nhng bng n mu trn trn nh, ta cn phi lm ti i nhng phn sng khng lin quan n nh.

Step 1: Vo Select -> Color Range. M menu Select box, chn "Shadow", sau khi bm OK, bn s thy nhng ng "kin b" (marching ants) chn ly vng shadows.

Step 2: Chn feather khong 12 px (lun lun feather sau khi chn ) Gi phm Control, ng thi bm phm "H" giu i vng chn (ta ch giu i khng b vng mt, v d lm vic, ch vng chn vn cn :) ) Step 3: Vo Image -> Adjustment -> Brightness/Contrast: Gim Brightness xung cn -70.

Gi phm Control, bm phm "H" cho vng chn hin tr li. Gi phm Control, bm phm "D" b vng chn. V c bn l hon tt, tuy nhin, ch chnh hi b ti i v ta vn cn thy ci bn n pha sau c gi. lm sng li ch , chn History Brush (Opacity: 70), v li vng b m ti (bn trong ng xanh l cy).

3. Magic Wand Technique: Mt s nh ta cn la shadows bng Magic Wand Tool. V d nh nh pha di, ta ch mun chn vng shadows background, v yn vng shadows trn ch .

Step 1: Chn Magic Wand trn Tool Panel. Trn Option Bar, bm nt "Add to selcetion", Tolerance = 32, "check" ci Contiguos box. Step 2: Bm ln vng "hoa th" pha trn trc, ta s c 1 vng chn, la tip phn cn li, bm ln ci "hoa th" pha di.

Step 3: Vo Select -> Feathers: cho feather 12 Control-H giu i vng chn Vo Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrasts: Gim Brightness xung 50 Control-H cho vng chn hin li Control-D b vng chn nh sau khi hon tt

Tip 12: Black & White, Duotone, Infrared, and Cross-Processing. 1. Black & White: Khi chuyn t mu sang B&W, iu quan trng nht l control tng channel red, green, blue mt t c kt qu tt nht. V mi nh c mc Red, Green, v Blue khc nhau nn khng c (hay cha c) filter no t ng chuyn B&W mt cch "magic" c. Hn na, chuyn B&W bng cch "eyeing" (canh) cng l mt th vui :lol: . control tng channel Red, Green, Blue mt mt cch hiu qu nn nh nhng tips sau: Red channel lm cho skintone sng hn v mm mi (soft), Green channel nh hng n tng phn (contrast), v Blue channel th cha nhiu "noise" Nguyn tc chung l to nn 2 Channel Mixer Conversions: 1 ci "lo" v skintone, 1 ci "lo" v contrast, c 2 u set Blue channel thp, ri dng masking technique "gom" tt c thnh 1 version. nh sau c dng convert thnh B&W:

Step 1: Trn layer palette, bm nt "Create new fill or adjustment layer", chn Channel Mixer.

Step 2: Check box Monochrome, set Red = 30, Green = 110.

Step 3: Cht man, hnh b chy :lol: , ng c hong, cha xong m. Tt con mt ca Channel Mixer 1 i, background layer (hnh mu) l tr li.

Step 4:Lp li step 1 v 2, nhng set Red = 0, Green = 100, Blue = 0 (nh check Monochrome). Step 5: Bt con mt ca Channel Mixer 1 ln, v click ln layer ny cho n active. Nu bn lm ng th kt qu s ging nh hnh di:

Step 6: Step ny dzui nht v ta s xa i my ci "chy". Chun b cha. Bm phm "D" set foreground/background v mc nh (just do it :) ). Bm phm "X" set foreground mu en. Chn "soft edge brush", set Opacity khong 50 (trn Option Bar, ch khng phi Opacity ca layer :) . Ri v "hn nhin" ln ch "chy"... Sau khi t ln ch "chy", ta thy ci mi v mt phn trn v m cn hi chy. Gim Opacity xung cn 20, t tip cho n i lun :lol: . Thc ra nhng vng ny l 70 (hi ny 50, gi cng 20 l 70 :) ) nh sau khi hon tt. (Step ny linh ng, ty theo s thch ca bn)

2. Duotone: L s pha trn mu gia en v mt mu khc (trng en l dng c bit ca duotone khi en pha vi trng). Sepia l dng kinh in nht khi en pha vi nu . C it nht l 5 cch lm duotone trong PS. Cch "tiu chun" do PS ra l chuyn nh RGB thnh grayscale, ri bt u chn mu pha vi en (c t mu trong PS). Nu bn dng phng php chuyn B&W trn th b (skip) step 1 v 2. Step 1: Image -> Adjustmemts -> Desaturate loi b mu ht. Step 2: Control-L m "Levels" ln. Chnh input levels theo th t: 10, 1.00, 245 (mc ch tng contrast ng theo style sepia)

Trc khi i vo phn k tip l Dodge v Burn, th ta dng Spot Healing Brush ty i nhng chm trn mt (cha li 1 chm di mi nhn cho tht), dng Clone Stamp gim i (Opacity 80) gim i qung (dark circle) di mt, v clone i catch light bn tri ca mt (v ngun sng chnh bn phi). Nhng k thut ny xin xem cc bi vit trc. nh sau khi clean up....

Bm phm D (default) chn Foreground mu en l mu ta dng "burn" (nhn mnh shadow). Nu mun Dodge (nhn mnh highlight) th bm phm X chuyn en sang trng (c bm phm x l 2 mu ny chuyn ti chuyn lui). Trn Tool Bar, chn Soft Edge Brush, chn Mode l Soft Light, chn Opacity 15% (K thut dng Brush vit trong cc tip trc nn y khng c hnh minh ha, sorry li qu....)
