Director of Events (West) 2001 to Present Company Los Angeles, CA Turned a part-time college sales role into a full-time job and multiple promotions by delivering consistently highquality events that earned rave reviews while generating double-to-triple digit revenue increases. Selected Accomplishments: Overseeing the successful conception, planning, launch and execution of over 1,000 annual events in 27 markets (including LA, LV, SF, Hawaii & Chicago), with production budgets ranging from $1K to $350K+. Leading an in-house team of 4, and event specific teams ranging from 3-150+ staffers including producers, artists, models, sales, tech, props, carpentry, animators, costumers and coordinators. Negotiating reduced contract rates and sourcing production necessary items with ideal mix of quality and price, Heading production strategy and processes including setting standards, scheduling meetings, crafting brand messaging, hiring personnel, issuing guidelines and serving as main point of contact for events. Event Success Highlights: Launched MAC collections with over 60 large animated productions and 1,000 smaller efforts annually. Produced MAC Chinese Dress, the largest event in company history for the West Coast. o Partnered with fashion designers (Sue Wong, Juicy Couture) to replicate designs in body paint. o Event earned rave reviews from customers, bloggers and the press, with press coverage exceeding $750K in value and setting the standard for brand media return. o Earned the LA City Councils first-ever granting of permission to close Robertson Blvd. Conceived of, designed and launched 500+ MAC Education events; bringing the 'backstage artistry' of MAC to 30+ buyers per event through educational presentations. Program earned over $2M annually. Created and produced MAC Studio Talk, a global program generating over $12M in new revenue. Negotiated and launched Bloomingdales SF first ever store-front staged events including 'Antiquitease' and 'Glitter and Ice' Events led to permanent revenue increases and doubled spot sales in W1 alone.
