CD Lab AG was founded in 1990 with 4 employees as a service enterprise for customised software and hardware. Since 2002 the head ofce is in Murten. WinCan Viewer Export

The WinCan Viewer Export program is used for preparing sewer inspection data for WinCan Viewer.

WinCan Viewer is a data viewing program that does not require a license and is a free-of-charge version for the distribution of sewer inspections in digital form (usually on CD or DVD). The inspection data can be viewed and printed. WinCan Viewer export only works with WinCan-generated databases. No formats of other providers are supported. The WinCan Viewer also has two different video playback components integrated: The basic component depends on the installed codecs of the PC system. The WinCan playback component is able to show every video that was created with WinCan without any decoding problems. This component needs to be licensed separately.

WinCan Media Distribution

The WinCan Media Distribution program is used for structured archiving and forwarding of large WinCan projects.
Projects can be distributed in several different types of data media. The type of data media can be selected from a list, e.g. CD, DVD small/big and customized size. WinCan creates separate data folders for each data media required.

Data Entry for Satellite Cameras

House connections can be inspected by using satellite cameras. A visual display is possible with the help of WinCan 3D.
As for the main sewer, it is also possible to record images and video clips for laterals. Special graphical reports will display and document the main and the side sewers. If the function is installed and supported by the camera system, WinCan switches automatically to the associated meter counter and video input of either the main- or the lateral camera.

Manhole Report including Drawing Program

The screen is adapted to meet the standards of the specic country. Images and video clips can also be recorded in addition to text information. The user can collect all relevant information regarding xed manhole data (like material, shape, manhole ID ), inspection data (operator name ), cover lid data, observations and in- and outlets. All this information can be customized on the printout. By clicking on the drawing program button a diagram of the manhole is automatically generated. But it also can be manually adjusted or drawn totally manual in very short time.

Rissbreiten- und Deformationsvermessung

Measurement of crack width and deformation.
By use of this module you can measure directly inside a video or a still picture,regardless of the used camera type. The results are very exact and are shown in mm. If the camera provides laser dots these dots can be used as reference. If the camera don`t has such lasers you need to provide (only once) a reference le of the relevant camera. With laser dots you can even use a zoom function.

Parallel-Laser
Measurement of diameter and deformation with ParallelLasers.
By use of this module you can measure at the specic camera position the diameter and also any deformation of the pipe. The operator needs to tilt the camera head to 90 and to rotate fully 360. The result will be displayed as value and also a graphic. That information is very important for rehabilitation plannings and will prevent failures by ordering wrong sized inliners.

Ring- or Multipoint-Laser
Continuous measurement of diameter and deformation with Ring- or Multipoint-Lasers.
This module is able to recognize the laser ring (or the different laser dots) on the pipe wall. It will calculate the diameter and possible deformations and display as value and also as a 3-dimensional graphic of the pipe. That information is very helpful in coding the observations and also very important for rehabilitation plannings and will prevent failures by ordering wrong sized inliners. Ovality can be measured and displayed also changes in diameter. The measurement normally takes place during the reverse move of the crawler continuously and without missing any details. In metal and concrete pipes the measurement will also allow for corrosion or erosion and therefore can assist in calculating the remaining life of the pipe. A laser measurement greatly assists a tv-inspection and is a good help for damages classication.

WinCan PhotoAssistant
WinCan PhotoAssistant is an add-on module for measuring various geometrical characteristics of pipes. The measurements are performed by superimposing a 3D pipe structure over a picture of the pipe. It works with all available camera systems and does not need any specic sensors.

Inclination Measurement
Manual or automatic entry and display of inclination data.
If the camera system supports inclination measurement the sensor data is delivered via the text generator to the PC and stored in a text le inside the WinCan project. This data is then used to visualize the inclination curve in WinCan. The Swedish standard VAV-P50 is also implemented to show problematic areas in the pipe.

Temperature Measurement

Software OSD
Only in combination with WinCan Real-time MPEG 1/2/4 Recording! OSD stands for On Screen Display. It displays graphics and text information on the live video image.
Sensors data like meter, inclination and similar can be grabbed via the system own text generator or via the WinCan Multi-USB board. Also other information like date and time can can be written onto the screen. You can shoose any Windows Fonts and sign, even Russian or Chinese - and in all available colours for haracters and background. Optionally we can install also an analogue output for VCR and similar devices.

OCR Character Recognition

This module recognizes data (numbers and characters) on the video screen and read those in real time.
WinCan is able to read data like meter, date and time or inclination value directly from the screen and to store in the appropriate data cell. Therefore there is no need anymore to entry this data manually. Especially for pushrod systems without text generator or direct connection into WinCan, also for lateral or satellite inspections.

WinCan Text
Text processing functions similar to Microsoft Ofce are integrated in WinCan.
Unlimited assignment of text documents to individual sewer pipe sections, inspections and manhole reports. It also allows images to be inserted. Once documents have been produced, they can also be stored as templates and reused. The user can attach the documents to a section or to a manhole. This document will then also be distributed automatically to the viewer CD.

WinCan Entry MS-SQL/ Oracle network license

Shared installations
WinCan Entry can be supplied as an individual license or as a network license. For the network version, a central dongle is installed on a server. Network licenses are available in multiples of ve. There are different licensing models possible, e.g. WinCan Entry for 5 users, out of them there are 3 users with report generator and 2 users with GIS connection, etc.. SQL Server and Oracle version are recommended if the inspection data requieres big databases. Also for City administrations and engineering companies SQL or Oracle version are recommended. The SQL-Server version of WinCan works with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2000, 2005 and 2008. For Oracle version 9 or higher is necessary.

WinCan GIS/Query
WinCan GIS/Query is an interactive instrument for queries in the ofce environment.
This option allows GIS users to access WinCan data via their GIS user interface by a simple mouse click. It transfer the object number of the selected sewer pipe section or manhole to the WinCan database. WinCan then automatically opens the relevant section and highlights it. The user now sees all reports including videos and images. WinCan GIS/Query works with the actual open WinCan v8 project or with all via the MetaDB-module linked projects. Inside the GIS software WinCanGIS/Query is activated by a simple button on the toolbar.

WinCan Map 2008 gather and manage section and manhole data out of the Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

Features:
WinCan Map visualize the to be inspected sections and transfers all available data out of the GIS database to the WinCan database. Sections and manholes are selected out of the map by certain criteria, assigned to a particular inspection team and transferred at the push of a button. The association of GIS data cells to WinCan data cells is free congurable. This allows data exchange with almost every GIS system. The bi-directional communication between WinCanMap and WinCan allows to display the status of the inspected objects and show also differences between GIS data and collected data during inspection. In conjunction with a GPS receiver, WinCanMap also serves as a navigation aid for localizing sections and manholes. Real-time MPEG 1/2/4 Recording

MPEG is a standard for recording and digitizing video data (with / without audio).
The advantages of MPEG video clips are good compression compared to other video formats, thus ensuring they can be kept relatively small. Digital video clips are generated by use of the WinCan MPEG option and integrated into the WinCan project. The recording is done real time. The powerful WinCan hardware ensures that you can continue working with the computer because the sophisticated compression is done as background operation directly written to the hard disk. WinCan creates what is called an index le as the observations are being recorded. This links each position where an obersation is made to a certain point on the video. Therefore, it just needs the click of the mouse for the person reviewing the data to jump to that point in the le - with no time-consuming winding and waiting. WinCan v8 supports MPEG-1/2/4 formats.

WinCan JogShuttle Software

This module provides very convenient navigation within digital videos.
The playing / winding speed can be set accurately by using a rotary knob. This procedure is similar to the one used for professional video editing equipment. It also allows moving forwards and backwards from image to image. Special function buttons provide typical video functions such as starting, stopping, forward, backward and pause. Further function buttons are available: we will use these in future for new functions such as recording images and jumping to the next observation point. This module, when used with the associated hardware, allows for convenient and targeted evaluation of the recorded digital TV inspection video data.

DigiSewer
The WinCan DigiSewer application is a stand-alone application that supports exclusively the DigiSewer sh eye camera from iPEK (Envirosight in the USA).
The DigiSewer application creates scanning images during the inspection and shows the inner surface of the inspected pipe as if you would cut it and unfold the pipe into a two-dimensional picture.

WinCan CONDOR
WinCan Condor is a software for mobile manhole inspections.
Manhole data can be recorded much easier than ever before with the new WinCan Condor module. Already existing data e.g. Manhole name, street name, coordinates, ... can be transferred to a Smartphone or a PC via UMTS. Out in the eld the data can be completed with the help of pre-lled drop-down menues aiding speed and consistency. At the end of the Inspection the data can be sent back to the Ofce PC. The transfer can be done via UMTS cell phone, email account or in the traditional way with a docking station or a USB Stick. GPS Data can be used to locate manhole coordinates.

WinCanPIT is software to execute and protocol pressure tests according to international standards.
WinCan developed this software in close cooperation with several pressure testing equipment manufacturers. The well arranged screen and clear structured process (by project > inspection > object > measurement) allows for efcient and intuitive workow. All common available pressure testing equipments are supported. After entering the sizes of the object and the relevant testing standard the software calculates and displays all test parameters like testing time and allowed pressure decrease or water loss. The measurement is protocolled in detail und evaluated regarding the relevant norm. Already during the testing process the following tests can be prepared which allows for effective work and is a big advantage compared to other solutions.
