A number of manufacturers have produced products that are designed to augment the features available on Apple`s iPhone. Here is a quick overview of some of the latest iPhone technology releases which are coming to a website near you. BubbleScope The new iPhone 4S has one of the best cameras on the market at the moment, but there is always room for improvement. Some peripherals have added excessive zoom lenses and additional lighting to the camera, while there are a plethora of apps available to enhance photos after they have been taken. However, the BubbleScope from BubblePix goes one step further, enabling the iPhone to capture full 360 degree panoramic shots in a jiffy. Panoramas are popular, but stitching them together from a collection of shots taken freehand can be tough. This accessory comes with a case and an additional lens which screws on for a secure fit. It can then take photos and even video with full 360 degree panoramic precision, the likes of which is difficult to replicate after the fact. Combining the peripheral with its own app will make the images come to life and will also allow you to share them via the social networking site of your choice. Mophie Juice Pack There are a number of charging docks and portable power packs available for the iPhone, but the Juice Pack from Mophie has a few tricks up its sleeve to help it stand out from the crowd. Firstly it is fully waterproof and rugged, which allows it to withstand rain, snow, sleet and even total submersion. Inside is a 6000mAh battery that has enough power to fully charge up your iPhone a couple of times and can even bring an iPad back to life. Mophie is not only intending this portable charger to appeal to those with particularly outdoorsy lifestyles, but is also hoping that it might be suitable for people who are going on a family camping holiday, or just heading to a music festival for a few days. Logitech UE Air Speaker While the Apple Air Play wireless media streaming service is largely limited only to devices built by Apple, a number of other manufacturers are beginning to support this standard with their new products. The UE Air Speaker from Logitech is one such device, with its networked nature allowing it to accept audio streams from any iPhone from the 3GS onwards, as well as an iPad and a connected Mac or Windows PC. This speaker system is not cheap, but it is slim and looks stylish. The wireless nature of Air Play also means that you don`t actually need to dock your iPhone with it in order to get it up and running. These types of iPhone technology can be found on sites like 3 Wise Monkeys for people who want to enhance their smart phone experience.

Latest iPhone App News & Releases

By John McNamara on June 1st, 2012

Music streaming service Spotify has been available on the iPhone for premium subscribers for some time now, but it looks like its supremacy in this area of the market could be challenged by Sony. This week it announced that it would be launching its own streaming app on Apple devices, called Music Unlimited. This will give users access to over 15 million tracks and the service has been doing the rounds on Android handsets, so it is not a completely untested platform. The app will be free to download but like Spotify you will need to pay a subscription fee if you want access from your iPhone. There is a free month long trial to new users who want to test out the service to see if it suits them, but after that you will pay a minimum of $3.99 (2.50) a month for the privilege of access. For $10 you can get the full blown premium experience, which means that you can enjoy offline playback of songs and the ability to build your own play lists from your iPhone. Music Unlimited gets new releases added every seven days and premium members will receive early access to these launches, which is another incentive for people to pay full whack for their subscription. As well as being compatible with the iPhone it will be possible to use the Music Unlimited app on the iPad. However, while Spotify recently released its fully optimised iPad app, you will have to make do with the up scaled iPhone iteration of Music Unlimited on your tablet for the time being. It will be interesting to see whether Sony is able to make any headway with Music Unlimited, because the music streaming market is still in its early stages and there is no clearly dominant force at the moment, despite the high profile nature of Spotify`s growth. In other news, iPhone owners in the UK recently got access to an intriguing new application called Orange TVCheck, which is essentially a visual version of music recognition service Shazam. The app cannot actually detect a particular program or film just by being pointed at your TV, but what it does do is emulate this kind of function thanks to its integration with the listings. As such you can check what you are watching by pointing your iPhone`s camera in the direction of your big screen set and then find out not only what the program is called but also what others are saying about it. This is possible thanks to social media integration, allowing you to search for tweets and comments from other users which relate to a particular televisual event.

This app shows real promise since it makes the most out of smartphones and the networking tools they offer while also recognising that more and more people are sitting in front of the TV with their handsets at the ready. Orifice contains 3 calculators that allow an engineer to calculate specific physical quantities such as the orifice size, delta P, and even volumetric flow. For people who specialize in different spheres of engineering, the iPhone is not just a cool Apple gadget. With the proper upgrades, the famous Apple smartphone can serve as a work tool. Latest Mobile App News and Reviews

If you are wondering which mobile applications you should download for your handset to keep you entertained this week, here are a few recently released suggestions for you to try. Tom Daley Dive 2012 Olympic fever is reaching its peak in the run up to the 2012 games in London and this app is designed to help people experience just one of the many events through the eyes of its rising star, Tom Daley. Available on both iPhone and iPad, this full 3D app allows you to control a diver, using gestures to dictate the moves that are performed before they hit the water. The app is more than just a quick Olympic tie-in, because it has unlockable diving moves that can only be accessed once you have mastered the existing feats in your catalogue of abilities. There is a simple tutorial to get you started and also other unlockables in the form of pictures of Tom himself. You can compete across a range of events in different locations and best of all the app is free to download, but you will have to pay for the full version if you want all the dive moves to be available. Cinemagram So far the likes of Instagram and Hipstamatic have made waves in the app world thanks to their ability to apply retro effects to photos snapped with a smart phone. However, Cinemagram looks to take this same basic formula but apply it to video clips, so that people can create their own films in a style not usually available to people shooting footage in the digital age. It is worth noting that Cinemagram is really about developing GIFs rather than full motion videos, so you can develop files with both static and moving elements which can then be shared with the wider community online. This makes it easy to create funny, beautiful or poignant little snapshots which have a lot more life to them than still images because there is something to catch the eye. Cinemagram may not be for everyone, but if you endeavour to master its tools, it offers a satisfying level of creative potential that is likely to help it become a big hit in the next few months. Strava Cycling If you are a bike fanatic and you like to cycle for fun or fitness then there are plenty of apps available. However, most of these will cost you some money, particularly if you want to access comprehensive GPS features to perform things like route tracking. Strava Cycling is one of the few free apps in this category which offers comprehensive features straight out of the gate. You can record everything about your ride, from the speed you travelled to the distance you covered, as well as awarding yourself achievements for your performance.

New Tips for New Owners

This article is written for people who are new iPhone owners. There are quite a few tricks you can use to make your experience with your new iPhone even better. Here are list of them to help you out:

Single tap the home button when not in app to take you back to the first page
If youre like me you have tons of apps on your phone. That means that after a while you probably have multiple pages of apps. I have 9 pages LOL! Well if youre like me you get annoyed flipping from whatever page youre on back to the first page to load up your camera, type a text message, or whatever. This little trick is simple. Just tap the home button and poof! Just like magic youre back on the first page. Nice!

Double tap the home button to open up the apps tray.

The iPhone handles multitasking in its own special way. When close an app after running it the apps not exactly closed. Its just minimized in the background to your app tray. What a lot of people dont know is that you can open up the app tray and switch between apps. So for example lets say your playing angry birds and you need to check your stocks or look

up a movie in Flixster. You close out of Angry Birds and open up Flixster. Once youre done with Flixster, simply double tap the home button and your apps tray will open. You should see angry birds there and be able to tap it and go right back to where you were in the game. This could change based on how long it was between apps but if its not that long it should be very similar to the alt-tab on a windows pc.

Tap the top window status bar to scroll from anywhere back to top quickly
This one is a nice time saver. Go into any app that has a scrolling interface. Scroll down to some place near the bottom. Now rather than scrolling all the way back up just tap the status bar at the top of the screen. Boom your now at the top of the page. Saves time when looking up contacts Ill tell you that much.

Group apps together to save screen space.

In the early iOS days you only had so many slots to fill with apps on your iPhone. I recall reaching the limit at one point. Then in the last couple years they programmed in application grouping and now you can put so many more apps on your iPhone as long as you have the space. To group apps together press and and hold your finger down on one of your icons to enter wiggle/delete mode. (Apps are all wiggling). Now press and hold down on one app and drag it down over another. A group window should open up and they will be grouped together. You can then name the group whatever you want and click home when done to exit wiggle mode. I use this to group apps i like apart from apps my kids like and also to save my self the page flipping if possible.

Press Home+Sleep to Grab a Screenshot.

Ever see the screenshots on my site and wonder how they got there? Thats how! Simple press and hold home and then press the sleep button and you should hear the camera shutter sound. The screen that was last on the screen is now in your camera role. Pretty convenient! Give it a Try!

Double tap shift on keyboard to turn on caps lock

This is one that I didnt even know existed for almost 2 years!! Duhhh! I always wanted to have caps lock for things like passwords with multiple capital letters but didnt know about it so i has to hit shift, then a letter, then shift, then a letter, ughThen one day i complained about it to one of my other iPhone using friends and he laughed. He said try double tapping the shift button. It turned blue and my face turned RED!!! All this time!! So awsesome!!

Add a site you may visit often to your home page.

So youre really digging this new blog you found online so much you go to it all the time. Or maybe theres some site you use on your phone for work or for your business thats one you visit all the time. To save your self the time of having to type in the web address or look it up in your bookmarks just create a shortcut on your desktop for it. At the bottom of Safari is a plus site. Tap the arrow icon in the bottom navigation bar and it will open up a screen. One of the options is Add to Home Screen. Once you tap that you now have what looks like a new icon on your home screen. Tap it and it will open up safari and take you back to the page you were on. Pretty cool eh?

Hopefully these tips have helped you in some way. Some of these I found online by reading something like this and some I didnt know about until somebody told me and I felt stupid because after they told me they laughed. They laughed thinking I cant believe you didnt know that. So I hope by reading this you can avoid that embarrassment and possibly you can pass this along and help someone else. Save an image in safari or an email to your camera roll

If you like an image on a webpage or in an email just tap and hold down on it. Eventually you will get a window that opens up asking you if you want to copy the image to the clipboard or save it to your camera roll. Done!

Turn your phone sideways for a wider screen and keyboard.

This one seems fairly obvious but what the heck. If you didnt know you can turn your phone sideways and most apps with rotate with it. This is helpful for typing as well as seeing some webpages. The font increases in size a bit and it makes it easier to see. Also if you turn the phone sideways when you have the calculator open it opens up into a more scientific style calculator. Its real live apple magic LOL.
