PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please pray that the Lord would guide the elders in their upcoming board meeting as they discuss avenues for future ministry. Praise the Lord that wee Eli Bruce Carter came into the world safely on Tuesday night, but please pray that this little preemie would be cradled by the Lord, and would develop healthy and strong in every aspect. Please pray that all facets of the new childcare would be done with excellence, and be pleasing to the Lord. With hundreds of thousands of people having been displaced from the north, the church in Bamako is seeking to help believers who have fled religious persecution. Many are without food, and aid organizations have not returned to the country. Pray for Gods mighty provision and that He will use this situation to draw many Malians to Himself.

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that: The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. We have a crche available diagonally from the sanctuary should you wish to take your infant out from the service. The Childrens Ministry begins part way through the service. This is for children between the ages of 3 13 years. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

NEWS
Ministry Evaluations

By Jill Briscoe ....... The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. ~ Isaiah 9:2 Are you in need of a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel? Isaiah promises that even in darkness, even in death itself, there is good ground for hope, for the power of God is able to restore life to His people even when they appear to be already dead! Have you given up seeing light brought to bear in a dark church situation? Are there factions splitting people apart from each other into dark debates and despondency? Theres a great light shining! Theres a great light because a great Saviour came. Among them hath the light shined (Is. 9:2, KJV). Among whom? This prediction was fulfilled when Christ preached along the Galilean seacoast (see Matt. 4:16); the light brought promise of deliverance for Israel. A new day had come! The Saviour is a great source of comfort to us. Many live in the darkness of divorce or in the shadow of death. Some watch a loved one slowly disintegrate before their eyes. Others, in seemingly perfect circumstances, live in the deepest darkness of all depression that nothing seems to penetrate! Listen to the Good News! Theres light at the end of the tunnel look up and see Jesus standing there! Hear what He says: I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (John 8:12).
BIRTHDAYS COMING UP .....

If you would like to talk to or pray with an Elder, we encourage you to make yourself known to one of the The Renovation Begins Worship Team and they will assist you. For years, there has been talk of a Christian childcare operating out of our facility, and slowly but surely, work has been moving along in order to obtain the required consents from the ministry of education, Auckland council, and the church. Finally, we are pleased to announce that the renovation to our facility is slated to begin in mid June.
