#1 Idle Timer Support for HASingleIP, Aug08 Till Present

This project main is to implement Idle timer feature for packet data services on Home Agent and as well dealt with HASingleIP.
Responsibilities: Involved in capturing requirements for HA5.0 and SFS review.

Took active part in reusing the current data base of HASingleIP for implementing HA5.0 features. Used Inter Process Communication (IPC) for HASingleIP to handle CP-TP interaction for HASingleIP. Had involved in designing HA5.0 features and actively involved with team on review various design approaches for features. Working on unit-testing, devtest phase issues.

Environment: C, Cisco IOS, 3gpp2 IS-835D, MobileIP, 6500 series chassi, 7600 series Chassi, SAMI Service Blade.

#2 HASingleIP CP-TP Interface, Feb08 July08.

This project is part of HASingleIP release for customer swisscom, bell mobility, KDDI/CTC, Sprint etc. The mSEF gateway-on-SAMI solutions for HomeAgent present as a multiple-routers-on-a-stick model to the operator with the attendant manageability and operational issues. The system design for Home Agent Single IP will allow an operator to manage the gateway-on-SAMI on a per-blade basis. This result in a factor-of-6 decrease in operational complexity compared to the presentation of six individual processors per blade. The HA Single IP model adopted is to reapportion functionality on a SAMI service blade from the current model of six independent IOS processors, each executing both control and traffic plane functions, to a model where one IOS processor is designated as a Control Plane (CP) processor with the other 5 being designated as Traffic Plane (TP) processors.
Responsibilities: Involved in capturing requirements for HASingleIP CP-TP interface and SFS review with

perspective of various control messages on HA. Took active part in reusing the current data base of HASingleIP for implementing CP-TP interface. Used Inter Process Communication (IPC) for HASingleIP to handle CP-TP interaction for HASingleIP. Had involved in designing HASingleIP features along with CP-TP interface and actively involved with team on review process for various design approaches for features that are happened in SANJOSE, USA. Have given presentation on HA SingleIP in SANJOSE, USA to make reuse CP-TP interface for different Gateway products (ASN-GW, GGSN, PDSN). Involved in a demo for HASingleIP for customer SPRINT, USA. Worked on Sesut-based unit-testing for covergare white-box test cases for better quality of HASingleIP CP-TP interface Have solved issues that are found during unit-testing, devtesting phases.

#3 HA4.0 Hot-Lining, March07 Jan08.

Hot-Lining provides a wireless operator with the capability to efficiently address issues with users that would otherwise be unauthorized to access packet data services. When a problem occurs such that a user may no longer be authorized to use the packet data service, a wireless operator using this feature may HotLine the user, and upon the successful resolution of the problem, return the users packet data services to

normal. When a user is Hot-Lined, their packet data service is redirected to a Hot-Line Application which may notify (if feasible) the user of the reason(s) that they have been Hot-Lined and offers them a means to address the reasons for Hot-Lining, meanwhile blocking access to normal packet data services. The hotlining feature enables HA to monitor upstream user traffic using two different scenarios: active session and new session.
Responsibilities: Involved in capturing requirements based on IS-835D for Hot-Lining. Had involved in SFS, designing of Hot-Lining Feature.

Have solved issues that are found during unit-testing, devtesting phases.

Environment: C, Cisco IOS, 3gpp2 IS-835D, MobileIP, 7600 series Chassi, 6500 Series Chassi, SAMI Service Blade, MWAM Service Blade, 7200 and 7301 routers.

#3 Per Selective FA Revocation, Nov06 Feb07.

The FA Revocation is base on Standard RFC 3543, and should be enabled on per PDSN/FA basis. By this feature, when a revocation message is received by HA, and the feature is enabled for the corresponding PDSN/FA, HA should send a revocation acknowledgement to PDSN/FA. However, HA should not delete the binding. The feature should not change the HA behaviour, when the revocation is triggerred on the HA (i.e. if binding on HA should be cleared, if revocation is initiated by HA). A side effect of this is homeagent will continue forwarding the traffic to PDSN/FA, though the binding on PDSN/FA could have been deleted. All the MNs from corresponding PDSN/FA will send the de-registration request to HA when the mobile closes the session.
Responsibilities: Involved in capturing requirements from customer and involved in SFS, Design process for this

features. Have solved issues that are found during unit-testing, devtesting phases and customer product deployment.

Environment: C, Cisco IOS, 3gpp2 IS-835D, MobileIP, 7600 series Chassi, 6500 Series Chassi, MWAM Service Blade, 7200 and 7301 routers

Reliance Infocomm ITIC Dept., Gurgaon, India #5 Design and Development of Mobile Integrated Network Systems (MINS)

MINS is an IP based solution that is designed to cater to a subscriber base of around 1000 subscribers. It supports all the features and functionalities provided by the legacy switching systems Design & Implementation of A1Interface & A1Module between BSC/MSC and MSC/BSC. A1 Interface carries signaling information between the Call Control (CC) and Mobility management (MM) functions of the MSC and the control component of the BSC. A1Module is used at MSC & BSC to provide the APIs for sending and receiving the signaling data over A1 Interface. Worked on Ulticom Signalware SIGTRAN Stack, in which M3UA SLKs were made between CEs (MSC & HLR). Design & Implementation of IS41 Module, which handle messages to and from the HLR & CP Module via M3UA SLKs.

Environment: C++, Sun Solaris9.0, SIGTRAN(SS7 over IP), cdma-2000, is-41.

#6 Design and Development of NGGN(Next-Generation Gateway Node)

NGGN acts as signaling gateway (SG)/SIP-Proxy between MINS (MSC/HLR) and STP/Soft Switch and supports GMSC (Gateway MSC) Functionalities. NGGN will handle signaling and session-related messages for Inter-Network Call Scenarios, Roaming Scenarios and Voice Feature Scenarios. Environment: C++, Sun Solaris9.0, Diameter Base Protocol, SS7, SIP, cdma-2000, is-41.

Bi Square Systems, New Delhi, India.

#7 Design and Development of Speech Encryption based FPGAs, July04 Dec04 This project deals with the design and development of a voice & Data CryptoSystem code. The CryptoSystem will be a stand-alone unit, is based on AES Algorithm. And a Vocoder Interface developed between Vocoder (AMBE-2000) and CyrptoEngine, which will act a s a PCM Tx/Rx. CryptoEngine and Vocoder Interface are targeted on Xilinx SPARTAN-II. Responsibilities: Study of the System, Design, Coding, Simulation and Synthesis. Environment: Verilog Language, FPGA Adv 6.3, Windows 2000, ACADEMIC PROJECTS: #1 Filterbank Based Fingerprint Matching This project explores fingerprint matching, in which a bank of Gabor filters used to capture both local and global details in a fingerprint as a compact fixed length FingerCode and is extremely fast. Environment: C, Red Hat Linux 9.0

#2 EDFAs for WDM Transmission The aim of project is to show transmission through distributed EDF with 100Km separation between each pump power with a total distance product of 55 Gb/s-Mm. Spectral-hole burning in EDFA has studied. Environment: MATLAB 6.1, Windows 2000. #3 Simulation of 16-BIT CPU using VHDL This project deals with simulation of a 16-bit CPU modeling it in VHDL and verifying its functionality by timing diagrams.
