Qualifications: A. (I) An Eminent scholar or Senior Professor of Sikh Studies with Ph.D. in the allied discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books/research papers. (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience in University/College, administrative and research experience at university level including guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (iii) Significant achievements in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib. (iv) A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation. Or B. An outstanding scholar of Sikh Studies with established reputation in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Professors 5 (Pay scale Rs. 37400--67000+10000 AGP) -- (Specialisation in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies especially Sikh Philosophy, Theology, Religion, Interfaith Dialogue, Sikh Musicology, Sikh Literature, Linguistic and Hermeneutics, Social and Cultural History, Scriptural Translations, Manuscriptlogy etc.) Qualifications: A (i) An Eminent scholar or Senior Professor of Sikh Studies with Ph.D. in the allied discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books/research papers. A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience at University/College, and experience in research at the university level including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. Significant achievements in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib. A minimum score of 400 points in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation. Or

An outstanding scholar in the field of Sikh Studies with established reputation in the field of studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib, who has made significant contribution to the studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib to be substantiated by credentials.

Qualifications: An outstanding scholar in the field of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies with established reputation who has made significant contribution to the studies on Sri Guru Granth Sahib may apply with their proposed research work to be pursued during their tenure. 3. J.R.F/Project Fellows-13 (NET passed Rs. 16000/- PM Fixed + H.R.A. according to university rules. Project Fellows without NET salary Rs. 8000/- PM Fixed (likely to be revised Rs. 14,000/- PM Fixed) + House Rent According to the university rules. Qualifications: (a) For J.R.F. Master's degree with 55% Marks in the fields of Religious Studies, History, Philosophy, Sikh Studies, Punjabi etc. with aptitude in Sikh History, Sikh Religion, Sikh Literature , Sikh Musicology & Sikh Philosophy, preferably knowledge of Computer composing in Hindi, Punjabi & English. For Project Fellows Master's degrees with 55% Marks in the field of Religious Studies, History, Philosophy, Sikh Studies, Punjabi etc. with aptitude in Sikh History, Sikh Religion, Sikh Literature, Sikh Musicology & Sikh Philosophy, preferably knowledge of Computer Composing in Hindi, Punjabi & English. Eminent scholars who are above the age of 60 but are less than 65 years and have retired from Government/University service can also apply for the Post of Director and Professors. However their appointment will be on contractual basis as per the university rules. For the post of Director those scholars who have already applied in response to Advertisement No. 3/2011 dated 17.05.2011, need not apply again. For the Visiting Professors, eminent scholars even above the age of 65 years can send their applications alongwith complete Bio-data (PBAS) within 21 days from the date of advertisement through e-mail: reg_gndu@yahoo.com or by post to the Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Eminent scholars and Sikh Institutions can recommend the names of prospective candidates along with their bio-data (PBAS) for the consideration of Selection Committee. Candidates are required to submit their five sets of Bio-data and five sets of five major publications for evaluation purpose.
