To always ensure the optimal functioning and performance of your product, we would like to advise the following: 1. HOW TO USE FORBES SMART CLEAN ACCESSORIES 1. Flexible Hose: Gives you flexibility to reach hard-to-clean areas 2. Floor & Carpet Brush: For cleaning hard floor surfaces as well as tough to clean carpets 3. Plastic telescopic extension tube: Helps you clean hard-to-reach places like ceilings, back of sofa etc. 4. 2-in-1multipurpose brush/nozzle: To clean sofas, curtains, cots and dust & hair hidden in the corners 5. Crevice Nozzle: For cleaning corners, crevices, window channels etc.

Be sure the power switch is in the off position before adding or removing attachments. Accessories can be attached by siphon and extension tube.

Assemble the collection container: a) Close the dust cup with cap, then turn it to the right position. b) Put the filter into its position. Put the collection container into the main bodys position along the arrow way, then turn the rotatingblock from left to the right position, the collection container is locked. Put the connection head of the flexible tube into the air channel of main body, then turn it to the right position, the flexible tube is locked. Add desired attachments or use the carrying strap. The vacuum cleaner can be used.

Removing the Collection Container 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Turn the rotating block to the left position. Remove the collection container from main body. Remove the cap from the dust cup. Take out the filter. Wash the dust cap and filter in warm water if necessary, and dry thoroughly before assembling the dust cap. Assemble the dust cup. Put the dust cup back into the main body. Make sure it is in the right position before using the vacuum cleaner.

Warning: Always unplug from electrical outlet before removing the dust cup! Dust cup and its filter must be used when operating the vacuum cleaner. Note: Always remove the power plug from the electrical outlet before attaching or removing.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE


Before using the appliance, unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug into the power socket. 1. This vacuum cleaner has two different positions, O is for off and I is for on. Before you insert the power plug into socket, confirm that the switch is on the O position. When you clean on the carpet you should make the stick-Vac on the I position. Note: Provide a break of 5 minutes after every continuous operation of 25-30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
If the opening that sucks in the air, the brush or the flexible hose is blocked, you should switch off the vacuum cleaner at once. First clear the blockage before you attempt to start the vacuum cleaner again. 1. Do not operate the vacuum cleaner too close to anything that is hot such as heaters, radiators, cigarette butts, etc. 2. Before you start using the vacuum cleaner, remove large or sharp objects from the floor in order to prevent the filter from being damaged. Do not use the vacuum cleaner to clean anything that is burning, such as gas and cigarettes. 3. Before you insert the power plug into the electrical outlet, make sure your hands are dry. 4. When you want to remove the power cord from the electrical outlet, please do this by pulling on the plug itself and not by pulling on the power cord.

MAINTENANCE
Always operate the vacuum cleaner with the dust collection container in its right position If the collection container is filled with dust, you must empty the dust from the container To avoid damage to the motor we recommend emptying collection container after each use To clean the vacuum cleaner, use a damp cloth. Wipe the unit down. Never touch the power cord with the damp cloth. If power cord comes in contact with the cloth, discontinue use until its completely dry. Dry thoroughly Store in a cool, dry place

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following: WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR FORBES SMART CLEAN. 1. Do not leave the appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use. 2. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. 3. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children. 4. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturers recommended attachments. 5. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Do not use vacuum cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return it to an authorized service centre. 6. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. 7. Do not run the appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. 8. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord. 9. Do not handle the plug or the appliance with wet hands. 10. Do not put any object into openings. Do not us e with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow. 11. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts. 12. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. 13. Turn off the control before unplugging. 14. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. 15. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present. 16. Look on your vacuum cleaner and follow all label and marking instructions. 17. Keep end of hose, wands and other openings away from your face and body. 18. Do not use the vacuum cleaner without dust cup filter in place.

Put the vacuum cleaner away after us to prevent tripping accidents. Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the user. Correct voltage is listed on the rating label. Use only on dry surfaces. Do not use for any purpose other than described in this user manual. If the vacuum cleaner is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem THE APPLIANCE DOES NOT SWITCH ON Possible Cause 1. Power cord not firmly plugged into socket. 2. No power in the main supply socket Possible Solution 1. Plug the unit firmly. 2. Check fuse or cut out switch. Replace fuse/reset the switch. 3. Take it to the authorized service. 1. Empty dust collection container. 2. Turn unit off and unplug from wall socket. Remove collection container and check for object(s) in air duct and remove. 3. Clean or replace collection container.

APPLIANCE HAS WEAK SUCTION POWER

1. Collection container is full. 2. Unit clogged. 3. Collection container needs cleaning.

DUST ESCAPES FROM THE APPLIANCE THE HOSE OR BRUSHES DO NOT PICK UP
