Dementia>Seeing through Glass dimly>Divine Givingness of Love This is the thought that came this morning after the

final service for my 99 yea r old Aunt Alma Lawrence. I remember she began to refer to me as that lady about t wo years earlier, she had after 96-97 years forgotten my name and who I was to h er. The interesting thought that came to me Came after reading a portion of Ern est Holmes How to use the Science of Mind book. The book talks about God Love; how Unconditional it is, how it is always providing for those good and those not go od, those old and young, every person in the human race those who are close to g ood and those who are far way from the good. There is a . There is This love h emotinal ve a sense out toward understand ld. segment on Divine love(pg 74:3) The final law of life is a law of good but one ultimate impulsion in the universe. This impulsion is love. is more than an emotional sentiment, although it must include all suc sentiments. It is the pure essence of Divine Givingness.(pg 75:3)You ha of the immediate availability of good-not as though you are reaching it, but rather, as though you were reaching out with it And when we that love we operate from a spiritual perspective in this natural wor

This is the reason for this writing today. I now think that peope who acquire d ementia are operating in divine love, NOT leaving this place when the spirit is ready to move on, and the realization of the impact that shift in their family will have, is a battle they are willing to engage. Auntie Alma loved this fami ly so, she refused to go to the place of spirit she could see far clearer, than what she could see of this earth. She stayed on the earth side because she under stood the pain loved ones will feel if she left. My Aunt stayed seeing through t he glass dimly that is why she didn't know my name and nearer the end when the s pirit world fulled very strong her refusal to stay made it impossible for her to remember anyone she loved. I thought this was very interesting February 23, 2012 was her last earth birthda y celebration and on that day at 99 years she was still the most gracious hostess. I wondered how was it that she could be so hospitable and not know who she was hosting? It is because the divine givingness of love never leaves Those who dis cover it. For we all are products of divine love. IT is this process of giving, expressing God's love to us, by us, that she was able to stay 99years giving as much love and advice as well as being there for all sort of events (public and i ndividual private). Auntie Alma had been part of so many trips and graduations a nd weddings and gatherings. I believe she wanted to stay with us for as long as she could make it happen and she did until by the power of the Spirit Transitio ning she could no longer justify the purpose for being on earth and then she was able to fly away. This is just another thought as I was awakened this morning and certainly I was compelled to write. Thank you for sharing. Sheree Victorian
