Kyoto Protocol as the Solution for Climate Change

After World War II, in 1750, the industrial revolution began. The industrial revolution is a reflection of the contribution of human activities in various fields, particularly the real sector. So that there is advantage and disadvantage contained therein. Advantage of the trend of the industrial revolution could increase life expectancy and improv people in various parts of the world, which is creating a movement trend of globalization. Disadvantage trend of the industrial revolution created a greenhouse effect is increasingly out of control (which in part comes from the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation), which leads to global warming and climate change. Due to these activities are very commonly do by human, then along relationship with the increasing human population concentrations of greenhouse gases increases. Humans have altered the chemical composition of the global atmosphere have a tangible impact on the climate. The existence of reasonable assurance that these documents can provide qualitative and effect significant change in the foreseeable future, which we know as the Kyoto protocol. This document simulates the important concepts that 1. How to Contribute to the Kyoto Protocol in Reducing Greenhouse Gas Effect. 2. How urgency the Kyoto Protocol on global climate change. 3. How the Kyoto Protocol implications for developing countries.

The Kyoto Protocol is an amendment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), an international agreement on global warming. Countries that ratify this protocol commit to reduce emissions / removals of carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases, or to cooperate in emissions trading if they maintain or increase the amount of emissions of these gases, which have been linked to global warming. If successfully implemented, the Kyoto Protocol are expected to reduce average global weather between 0.02 C and 0.28 C by 2050. The purpose of implementation is require industrialized countries to collectively reduce their emissions by 5.2 percent from 1990 emission levels. This Agreement shall enter into force on February 16, 2005.

There are three mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol set out in the form of Joint Implementation (JI), Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Emission Trading (ET). Five of carbon dioxide in the world is the United States, Canada, Germany, Britain, and Japan. This is what causes the Kyoto Protocol requires developed countries to reduce their emissions first. The last data point to the United States as a contributor to 720 million tons of greenhouse gases (equivalent to 25% of total world emissions, or 20.5 tons per capita). The current conflict is the kyoto protocol ineffective and pessimism arises because the United States has not ratified the protocol, at the indications that American scientists have their own results against the interpretation of an amateur scientist and America is more focused on economic and political interests. This is related to economic growth is supported by the world of transportation, so if America ratified the protocol was worried it would interfere with the stability of the U.S. economy. So the kyoto protocol holds that America would become an obstacle to solving the problem because it would disrupt the economies of developed countries, among other industry sectors will decline as are required to allocate some funds to help the recovery system. Thinking like that, opportunity cost basis, Canada and Japan also did not ratify it. The various reasons proposed by developed countries so that has implications for the ambiguities developing countries for kyoto protocol.

In 2100, the atmospheric temperature will rise 1.5 - 4.5 degrees Celsius, if the approach used was see, wait and do nothing. The impact is: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Destruction of various types of biodiversity. The increased frequency and intensity of rain storms, hurricanes, and floods. The melting of polar ice and glaciers. The increasing number of potential dry land into a desert due to prolonged drought Sea level rise, causing extensive flooding. By 2100 an estimated sea level rise of up to 15-95 cm. Rise in sea temperatures cause coral bleaching and coral reefs around the world. Increased frequency of forest fires. Spread of tropical diseases, like malaria, to the new areas due to increased populations of insects (mosquitoes). Certain areas become crowded and congested due to the displacement currents.

Already done a variety of strategic and efforts to reduce the negative effects that occurs is to do three mechanisms contained in the Kyoto protocol and doing emissions trading. There are other tools that can be used to reduce these impacts (outside of kyoto protocol concept) is by way of technological innovation and energy (renewable energy), there is government interference in the allocation of natural resources - human resources - funds, and other so on. Conclusion that the researchers claim that human activity is the main factor responsible for the warming that occurred during the last 50 years. Human activities cause significant changes that give rise to an anomaly in nature. United States-Japanese-Canadians who contributed a great deal on CO2 producers are not willing to ratify, kyoto protocol makes the trip a limp. And the kyoto protocol is a chain of human life if the variables are removed, will destroy the existing system and structure. Various attempts have been made to reduce the impact of the greenhouse effect, the implementation of renewable energy through investment input and output are based on environmentally friendly. The existence of the real truth is serve between the two options put forward the economic and political interests or the interests of all people contained in it, which led to speculation and debate of the intelligentsia in implementing the Kyoto protocol. If each party is only sticking to the principles of a just economic and political priority to the interests of his country, If each party is only sticking to the principles for a economic and political priority to the interests of his country, it is impossible of principle in kyoto protocol will be accomplished. In this reform, more criticism than provide solutions. "There is a lot of people think of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing Himself." The simple solution that we can do from now on, correct our behavior and we as a society to make informed and educated. And supported by the intervention government to reduce the impact of a sustainable and long term. Due to political and economic losses are short term only. If all of these mechanisms have been well run, long-term benefits can be achieved with preservation of energy resources and the condition of the earth a more healthy and safe for occupancy.
