Dg fails to start
DG Troubleshooting Symptom
Dg not at all starting
Remedies
check battery voltage,it must be above 12 v. check battery connections to DG body and self.
check battery voltage,it must be above 12 v. check fuel level it must not be in reserve ie above 30 lt. Dg taking start but not DG taking starting crank check air at fuel pump,there must be continuous running but not running flow of fuel. Check emergency stop button and stop solenoid wheather they are in normal ie in open condition Informed to Infra Electrical team DG giving low output Check DG RPM. It must be 1500rpm voltage DG running but not giving Check AVR working condition proper supply DG giving no or 40/50 v Check DC voltage given to alternator for excitation ouput Informed to Infra Electrical team Check fuel level Dg getting stopped after Check lube oil availability some time or speed Check cooling system ie water or air cooling hunting Informed to Infra Electrical team Dg not running properly Check air filter status wheather it is chocked Dg giving white Check lube oil availability ,it must be sufficint as smoke/black smoke per dip gauge meter. Informed to Infra Electrical team Remark:Plz be sure that befor starting the DG,DG body & neutral must be grounded

PIU/PMU Troubleshooting

Check power connection from PIU to SMPS No Output even when AC power is turned on There must be AC supply at MCB output at SMPS end Make sure Ac power MCB at PIU and SMPS must be in ON condition Rectifier MCB must be in on condition Check VMR under and over voltage setting, it must be in beetween 210v-240v AC contactor must be in free moving condition There must be AC supply(A1,A2 Port) to make contactor to hold. Informed to Infra Electrical team Chect SMPS to BATTERY BANK connection

HRC fuse must be in normal working condition DC supply is not Check LVD DC connector, at both LVD 2 obtained there must be a supply of 12 v dc.,IF not obtained LVD can be made to hold bu LVD not holding making Rectifier on and then running on rectifier for some time. Informed to Infra Electrical team short backup due to Check charging current limit. It must be battery not getting 10% of rated Battery Bank.(for 600AH it charged must be 60 Amp) Check tightening of all shorting strips. It must be 10nm Battery bank is not check wheather any cell of battery banf is giving proper damaged(Each cell voltage must be above 3 output/not 1.7v) short backup due to charging Battery (+)ve terminal must be connected improper installation to (-)ve busbar of SMPS and must be grounded properly Battery(-)ve terminal must be connected directly to hrc fuses input of SMPS Rajan Kumar Informed to Infra Electrical team Remark:Plz be sure that befor switch on the SMPS,SMPS body &+ve bus-bar must be grounded
