Configuration Overview
The data configuration of UMG8900 is mainly completed through the MML command.
Before performing data configuration, firstly collect the detailed networking information .

Logical Board:
It means the boards are classified and named based on the functions. Board type is corresponding to the logical board.
Physical Board:
It finally reflects the distinction in software/hardware configuration of board. Hardware type is corresponding to the physical board.
Introduction to Frame
In the main control frame, the FOMU, FNET and FCLK boards have been added by default.
FOMU is inserted in the front slot 7 and slot 8 in the main control frame (plug-in frame 1), FCLK is in the back slot 0 and 1 (plug-in frame 1). FOMU/FMPU and FNET must be inserted front and back opposite each other.
and FNET.
All the interface boards can be inserted in any back slots except slot 6, 7, 8 and 9 (Only FCLK can be inserted in the back slot 0 and 1 of main control frame):
FFLU (front) and FBLU (back), FHRU (front) and FG1O and E1GM/A/B/C, FA4L, FBAP, FBFE, FBGE, FE8T (Back),
Configure cascading between the main control frame and the central switch
frame:
Configure the cascading between the service frame and the central switch frame:
SSM is used to reflect the level of synchronous timing signal directly in synchronous timing transmission link.
For the line clock source, SSM is extracted by the line interface board and reported to FOMU, and then FOMU configures the SSM of line clock source to clock module.
If the external synchronous reference source of clock module is 2048kbit/s signal, the clock module can extract SSM from signal.
For GPS reference source, FOMU does not set the SSM level and its level is PRC constantly.

Maintenance Overview
Basic tasks and main maintenance contents are described as follows. 1.Make sure that the devices operate normally, and that their electric performance, mechanical performance, technical indices and various service indices conform to the standards.
2.Perform network optimization, so as to ensure that the coverage area can obtain high communication quality.
3.Fast and exactly remove various communication faults to ensure smooth communications. 4.Perform the cooperation between entire networks in the whole running process to ensure a reliable internet operation. 5.Make sure that new devices and capacity-expansion devices are correctly connected to the networks.

Operation Check the cooling degree, switch, etc. of the air conditioner. Check if the power supply has open circuit. Check if interruption, error codes, etc. happening to the transmission system. The tools, meters and maintenance documents shall be complete and intact; otherwise additional explanation shall be given. Sum up the jobs on duty, including the description and the handling of the faults discovered on this duty and the left faults of the last duty. Describe the faults that have not been completely fixed yet, including the fixing status and the fault severity. The chief operator checks the on-duty jobs to make sure that jobs are smoothly handed over, faults are fixed and the equipment room is normally running.
