What is an Avatar ? Types of Avatar ? Aspects of Poorna Avatar ? Trinity of Sai Avatar Divine Aspects of Swami as an Avatar- ( 16 aspects ) Conclusion

Divinity has 5 names.

Para Namam
abode of Lord known as Vaikunta (unchanging) dwells as an Effulgence, not visible to anyone and has no form. Oversees everything. The material world and the subjective world suppliment each other to be finally known as One Fullness (Poornam). Such fullness is known as parabrahma.

From the Parabrahma or Fullness, the Jiva or the Individual known as the Compliment arises. When the individual sheds his material corpus in which it is encased, the eternal Universal consciousness is experienced which is again the state of One Fullness (poornam). This is known as the Parabrahma principle.

Who is an Avatar and why does he incarnate ?

God incarnates when man forgets his true goal and to remind him that his final destination is to go back to the divine origin, from where he came.
The first pair of opposites ( God (real and existing in all the 3 planes of time and beyond) and Matter(ever changing and temporary called 'Asat'). God (Personification of Bliss) has Conscious Power and Matter - Unconscious state with no Bliss or Ananda. In order to introduce the concept of Bliss to the Unconscious state, God willed Involution and Evolution.

Inward and Outward Looking

Components of Mind Mind cannot be controlled but can only be channelised Mind has four components known as Manas Buddhi or Intellect Chitta or sub-conscious Ego or Ahamkara Mind is at the central location between the creator and His creation.

Mind and its components

When your eyes seek the external or creation and its components, you get drawn away from the creator and thus you meet the status of Preyas or Pleasure, which takes you automatically to pain which is its opposite. At this stage you are functioning through the Manas. However when you question each of your action through the intellect or Buddhi and discriminate, then you have the choice to decide between the right and wrong. Discrimination has two stages known as individual discrimination and fundamental discrimination.

Cleansing and Channelising the Mind

The body becomes healthy by exercise and work; the mind becomes healthy by upasana (devout contemplation) and namasmarana (remembrance of the divine), by regular, wellplanned discipline, joyfully accepted and joyfully carried out. There are four requisites to understand and follow the teachings of the Avatars. 1) Tyaja durjana samsargam (Give up bad company) 2) Bhaja sadhu samagamam (Seek the company of the Wise and pious) 3) Kuru punyam ahoratram (Helping others is merit, harming others is sin) 4) Smara nityam anityatam (discriminate between good (eternal) and transient.

Who is an Avatar and why does he incarnate ?

God, before incarnation, sends sign-posts, in the form of saints and seers and when things go beyond them, God, out of his infinite compassion and love comes down personally to correct man-kind. He is the Divine Director, who chooses to enter the scene at the appropriate moment to set things right and to transform the senses and the heart.*

Who is an Avatar and why does he incarnate ?

* Evil cannot be dealt with by man after a certain
stage without Gods intervention. It is also to teach him that that the treasure of human life is to realize Self, God comes down to guide man to his final destination. * Avatars choose the time and the mode of announcement of their advent and their glory. There is no laukikam (worldliness) in their behaviour; it is all alaukikam (other worldly). Every avatar has two causes: prayers of devotees and atrocities of wicked people. The unity of these two is essential for an avatar.

Sai Mahimas Defining Mahima

That which has no origin knows no beginning. It was before everything or anything was. For that very reason it has no end. It expands as far as It wills, progresses as diverse as It Feels, and through Its Fullness, It fills the Universe too. Knowledge of this supreme Principle is known as Vidya, Knowledge, Wisdom and Awareness.

Avatar and the Golden Age

The rise of good leadership in all the spheres of life and in all parts of the world encouraging and rewarding goodness, and discouraging and punishing the evil. Synthesis of science and spirituality and spiritual orientation to scientific pursuit. Physics shaking hands with metaphysics, and psychology culminating in the discovery of the Self,

Avatar and the Golden Age

Religious harmony by the acceptance of the unity of religions and the father-hood of God and the brotherhood of man. Universal acceptance of the spiritual and moral values leading to the discarding of all types of violence in mutual relations between man and man, and nation and nation.

Mankind bound by love leading to the harmonious coexistence of all nations and the united struggle against poverty, ignorance, disease and natural calamities, and for the restoration of ecological balance, and for the achievement of freedom from fear of war.
Education (Vidya) and Healthcare (Vaidya) should be given free of charge to all.

Avatar on Himself
In this Avatar, the wicked will not be destroyed, they will be corrected, reformed and educated, and led back to the path from which they have strayed. The White Ant infected Tree will NOT be cut. It will be saved. Avatar comes as man in order to demonstrate that man is divine, and in order to be within the reach of man. The human mind cannot comprehend the Absolute; it is abstract and beyond the reach of speech, mind, and intellect.

This Avatar will not select some place other than the place where the nativity took place for the centre of leelas, mahimas and upadeshas. This Tree shall not be transplanted. It will grow from where it rose first from the earth.

Avatar on Himself
This Avatar does not have any affinity or attachment in its career with the members of the family wherein it appeared. Unlike the Avatars of Rama, Krishna etc., when the life was played for the family members, this Avatar is for Bhaktas, the aspirants, the sadhus and sadhakas, ONLY.

It has no japa, or dhyana, or yoga; it knows no worship. It will NOT pray to anything, for it is the Highest. It only teaches you to worship and pray.. Sathyasai Speaks Vol I, Page 22.

Avatar on Himself
Come One and All ! See in Me, Yourself, for I see Myself in You all. You are My Life, My Breath, and My Soul. You are My forms, all. When I love you, I love Myself; When you love Yourself, you love Me! I have separated Myself from Myself, so that I may love Myself. My beloved Ones, You are My Own self. Sathyam, Shivam, Sundaram P-IV, p143.

Avatar and His mission

Re Establish Human Values Teach us the real purpose of Education Unity of Religions (National & International integration with concept of Unity) showing Leadership of the highest form. Service to mankind and to creation at large, as the highest form of activity. (Narayana Seva and Health care, and Water) Work, worship and Wisdom (bud, flower and fruit) Revival of Vedas Aham SathyaBodhaka I am the teacher of Truth Bhagawan Baba declares. Every word of this Teacher of Teachers, is a Mantra, every discourse is an Upanishad.

Boon of Vahinis to mankind

16 vahinis for the benefit of mankind. Unlike Bhagawad Gita, the vahinis cover vide ranging subjects on all aspects relating to the subjectivve and objective world, besides ancient and modern way of conducting oneself and realising the purpose of Life, and returning to Ones source and avoiding the recurring birth and deaths. If Bhagawad Gita was the essence of the Upanishads, then the vahinis can be termed as the essence of entire Vedas and the Vedanta.

Avatar prescribes
I do not prescribe elaborate japam and Dhyanam for you to win grace. Control your tongue. Make it sweet and soft. Do not yield to the whims of the senses, dwell always in the thought of God, remind yourself on the glory and majesty of God that is enough religious discipline for you. Of all the sadhanas repetition of the Name of God is the most effective. If that is not possible Karma is next best. If no Sadhana is done, then Love of God is enough. With Love of God, no discipline or practice is necessary. Seva is more fruitful than japa, dhyana, yagna and yoga, usually recommended for spiritual aspirants, for it serves two purposes the extinction of the ego and the attainment of the ananda.

Avatar prescribes
Train yourself to serve God by serving man, in whom there is God installed in the heart. Convince yourself that Seva of man is worship of God. Do not be ashamed that you have been asked to watch a heap of sandals, or carry water to the thirsty or stand at the gate. The privilege and pleasure consist in the use to which you put your skills and time for helping others. You long to serve Me. Let Me tell you serving those who serve Me, gives me as much of satisfaction as if you were serving Me. Serving anyone is serving Me, for I am in all. Install the Lord in your heart and offer Him the fruits of your actions and the flowers of your inner thoughts and feelings. That is the worship I like most, the devotion I appreciate most.

Avatars Unique ways

The Lord loves, not the Bhaktha but his Bhakthi. Remember. The Lord's Grace is like rain, pure water falling equally everywhere; but its taste gets changed according to the soil through which it flows. So also the Lord's words are sweet to some, bitter to others. The Lord's ways are mysterious. He blessed Vidura with the words, 'Be destroyed' and Dussasana with the words, 'Live for a thousand years; He meant that Vidura's 'I will be destroyed and that the wicked Dussasana will have to suffer the ills and tribulations of this world for ten centuries. One will never know the real reasons behind the actions of the Lord.

Avatars Uniqueness
Old familiar words are used but are given new meanings. Old moral codes are worked but they receive an inward content and direction. Old familiar hopes are mentioned only to be filled with new spiritual meanings. Samasta Loka Sukhino Bhavanthu. Hands that heal are holier than the lips that pray. Help Ever, Hurt Never. There is only one caste the caste of Humanity, there is only One religion the religion of Love.
