A study on Employee Engagement in Diamond Engineering Pvt Ltd. Chennai.

Introduction Employee engagement is the level of commitment and involvement an employee has towards their organization and its values.

Definition and meaning: Engagement at work was conceptualized by Kahn, (1990) as the Harnessing of Organizational Members selves to their work roles In engagement, people employ and express themselves physically, cognitively, and emotionally during role performances.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

To find the employees tendency towards their role in handling the job To know the satisfaction level of employee towards the organization climate To study the morale among employee in diamond engineering Pvt Ltd To determine the emotional quotient among the employee in diamond engineering Pvt Ltd To provide proper suggestion regarding improvement of employee engagement in in diamond engineering Pvt Ltd

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY There was a time restriction of 45 days, so the study was conducted by selecting a sample of --- respondents and the facts and findings may not represent a true picture of the procedure followed in organization.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY 1.Only the Employee Engagement is considered. 2.The study is conducted at Diamond engineering pvt ltd. with a simple sample size of only 115 employees of 1st unit. 3.In order to analyze the study the questionnaire has been administered to the employees.

Research Methodology: Research Design: Descriptive research: Descriptive research methods are those that are meant to illustrate a point about the sample population.
Data collection: Primary data are collected. Tool used to conduct survey: Questionnaire used to conduct survey.

Statistical tools: 1. Chi-Square test: A chi-square test is a statistical test commonly used for testing independence and goodness of fit. 2. Percentage Method: Percentage method refers to a specified kind which is used in making comparison between two or more series of data. Percentages are based on descriptive relationship.

3. Correlation Method: Describes strength of linear relation between two variables
