Formula D Interactive recently developed a Virtual Chemistry Lab, as a safe, low cost alternative to the standard chemistry laboratory in schools. The heart of the system is a so called object recognition table. The interactive platform consists of a 50 High Definition rear projected screen prepped with lots of computing power. Sophisticated pattern recognition technology allows users to navigate content information by placing physical cards onto the tables glass surface. http://www.scribd.com/doc/98806508/Gather-Examples-ofImmersiveMultimedia -in-Education#download
Flight simulations have varying degrees of hardware, modeling detail and realism that depend on their purpose. They can range from PC laptop-based models of aircraft systems, to simple replica cockpits for familiarization
purposes, to more complex cockpit simulations with some working controls and systems, to highly detailed cockpit replications with all controls and aircraft systems and wide-field outside-world visual systems, all mounted on six degree-of- freedom (DOF) motion platforms which move in response to pilot control movements and external aerodynamic factors.

Augmented Reality (AR) is a growing area in virtual reality research as it can generate a composite view for the user. It is a combination of the real scene viewed by the user and a virtual scene generated by the computer that augments the scene with additional information. Although the similarities with traditional VR practices remain the same, the way users interact within an
Augmented Virtual Environment alters. Several applications (including surgery, robotics, engineering and design, Entertainment, mechanical maintenance and repair, collaborative planning, etc.) have aroused.

The two new multi-touch offerings, which are the first to provide the collaboration tools necessary to extend the telepresence experience beyond the audio and visual senses, features a unique gesture recognition algorithm that allows users to interact naturally with intuitive motions and that requires no user training.
the current tools that exist. It's a completely new approach to collaboration that sets the stage for how companies will continue to use telepresence to naturally and effectively meet across any distance.
