Introduction to Mobile telephone

From starting...

Became available from some telephone companies in the 1940s. Devices were bulky & consumed high power. Network supported only a few simultaneously conversations. Modern cellular networks allow automatic & pervasive use of mobile phones for voice & data communications.

MTS

AT & T introduced Mobile Technology Service (MTS) to 100 towns & highway corridors by 1948. Calls were setup manually by an operator & the user had to depress a button on the handset to talk & release the button to listen. Subscriber growth & revenue growth were hampered by the constraints of the technology.

MTS
Then to overcome the constraints of MTS, IMTS ( Improved Mobile Telephone Service) was introduced. Allowing more calls in a given geographical area. Introduced customer dialing. Reduced the size & weight.

Mobile Telephony

Then came the concept of Cellular networks where mobile phone had to stay within the coverage area serviced by one base station throughout the phone calls.

Developed

in 1980s & completed in early

1990s. Introduced in the UK by Vodafone UK Technology (and Italy)

Total Access Cellular System (TACS)

This was based on the American design of AMPS

Used the 900MHz frequency range.

Speed

upto 2.4 Kbps. AMPS first launched by US & a 1G mobile system. Allows users to make voice calls in 1 country.

Mobile Broadband Data 3G

Speeds from 125Kbps-2Mbps. Performance in computer networking (WCDMA,WLAN Bluetooth) & mobile devices area (sellphone & GPS) Data sent through packet switching technology. Voice calls interpreted using circuit switching.

Mobile Telephony

Mobile Broadband Data 3G

Access to Global Roaming & clarity in voice calls. Fast communication ,Internet ,Mobile T.V, video conferencing, video calls (MMS) ,3D gaming etc.

Mobile Broadband Data 3G

Mobile Telephony

Native IP networks 4G
Ultra-low latency for time-sensitive traffic. Easily manage mixed traffic or TDM to all IP migration. Availability and reliability. Eliminate or reduce recurring costs.

Mobile Telephony

Native IP networks 4G
Add services, increase revenue. Expand footprint, extend reach, scale network . Easy remote bandwidth expansion, and robust Quality of Service.

Native IP networks 4G

Mobile Telephony

5G Technology
Changed the means to use cellphones within very high bandwidth. Includes all type of advanced features which makes it more powerful & in huge demand in near future. Can be hook with laptop to get broadband internet access.

Mobile Telephony

5G Technology
Including every functions which the previous generations have with advance features and capacity. High resolution ,bi-directional large bandwidth shaping. More attractive & effective.

Mobile Telephony

5G Technology

Provides large broadcasting of data in Gigabit which support almost 65,000 connections. Provides 25 Mbps connectivity speed. Support virtual private networks. High speed, high capacity, and low cost per bit. 5G - a promising Generation of wireless communication that will change peoples lives.
