What is ECDL?

• “European Computer Driving Licence”

• Established in 1996 and rolled out worldwide

• Qualification that enables people to certify their competence in


essential IT knowledge

• Certifies to a set standard the IT skills candidates already have


or are gaining through training

• The organisations supporting ECDL represent a broad cross


section of industry and academia

Retakes
• The exam can be taken three times

• TNA – Study – course – practice – exam – resit

• If a delegate fails by more than 10% they will be


advised not to retake the exam the same day but to
go and study.
