HISTORY
Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, in Maranello, Italy. In the name of Scuderia Ferrari, sponsored and manufactured racecars from WW II aircraft remains. Established Ferrari S.p.a in 1947 to start the production of street-legal sports cars. Fiat S.p.a is the majority stakeholder now(90%). Megafactory in Maranello, Italy, the hometown of Ferrari.

INTRODUCTION
The most successful company ever to win the highest number of Formula 1 trophies. Totally customer-oriented company where customers can customize their car in any way they like. Only limited number of cars produced every year (7318 as of 2012). The only factory in the world to have greenery inside the premises of the plant. Most of Ferraris cars are designed by Pininfarina, a designing firm. Battista Pinin farina was the founder. Out-performing cars are designed by them. California, 599 GTB Fiorano, 458 Italia, f12 berlinetta and LaFerrari are few models by Pininfarina. The latest creation: Ferrari LaFerrari is the fastest Ferrari ever made. Based on rocket science, indigenously made and limited only to 499 pieces.

THE NUMBERS
Ferrari has a unique way of designating the numbers for the models they make. The first 2 digits showing the engine displacement and the last digit indicating the number of cylinders. Example; 458 Italia- 4.5 liter V8 engine. Makes engine molds for each and every car separately and later recycle them. Only company to apply Formula One transmission and braking technology. Models are divided in 7 categories; 2 seat GT, Midengine V6/V8, Mid-engine 2+2, Front engine 2+2, Midengine 12 cylinder, Supercars and Concepts(one-off specials).

The car once ordered will take a minimum duration of 6-8 months to manufacture. May take even longer if the customers specifications are intricate. The expenses and the delivery of the car is the responsibility of the company.
