On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center became the target of a massive terrorist attack that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people.

The four flights involved were:

1. American Airlines Flight 11 2.United Airlines Flight 175 3.American Airlines Flight 77 4.United Airlines Flight 93

United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the WTC. American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the WTC. This led to a Financial Damage of 10 Billion Dollars.
