PROJECT GUIDE -: DR .YASHWANT SINGH

OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the project is improving
the performance of the remote monitoring system such as number of objects to be monitored and how much data to be transmitted to the data center to be processed properly

Problem Statement
We are interested to build an integrated system
for reading data from the state of the environment or the data for the early detection of a disaster. Building an integrated remote monitoring system will require a better network management between the clients with the manager. To minimize operational expenditure of a network management solution, the network is usually managed from a central location .

Continued.
Also, we are proposed of using cloud
computing as center of data processing. By using cloud computing, we expected that it would helpful to build system infrastructure more efficient, especially in the case of the dynamic fluctuations of capturing data remotely.

CLOUD

COMPUTING
Cloud computing is Internet-based computing,
whereby shared resources, software and information are provided to computers and other devices on-demand, like the electricity grid. It is basically large number of computer connected through a real time network such as Internet. It is network based service which appears to be provided by real service hardware which are in fact virtual hardware , simulated by software running on one or more machines.

ARCHITECTURE
The architecture consists of:

Sensor: For remote sensing purposes we can use a variety of sensors for specific needs.

Remote Terminal Unit (RTU): This module has main function to capture data from sensor both in digital or analog input. Package of specific sensors with Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)will be placed in some places or objects prone to disasters.

Cloud Computing Server : Cloud computing could be proposed as central of data processing to run service like service listener. It has function to capture and store information sent from the remote client. Otherwise, it could be used for the central data storage and application server to display the processed results to the user.

CLOUD COMPUTING INFRASTRUCTURE

Cloud computing infrastructure could be
proposed become data center that main function as central monitoring and disaster mitigation of local, regional, national or even international scope. Cloud computing capabilities could be managed efficiently by using VirtualMachine (VM) to server or monitor particular object of observation

Working
Data from sensors that have been collected by
the RTU will be sent and received by the Listener Service in Virtual Machine Specific. Listener Service has main function to read and process the data received and then stores it into storage repository. Users on the other side can be online to view the data that had captured them. Application Service also runs on a particular Virtual Machine (VM).

Architecture in Cloud Computing Perspective

Why Cloud Computing??

The ability of on-demand cloud computing can be
utilized to capture data fluctuations and speed for processing. The capabilities of VM such as processing power, memory requirements and storage requirements can be adjusted as needed (on-demand). Set for server computing can be upgraded or downgraded as needed. A virtualization can also be replicated easily without having to install from scratch.

Reduced cost Increased storage Scalability Device and location independent Maintenance Virtualization

Future Work
This study has shown how the remote sensing system could be run
in cloud computing architecture. This study is not yet tested the sensor under conditions in which many are running with a high sampling rate. In the next research, we want to know how cloud computing can adapt to changes for high computing. Further work can be done to measure the performance of this system if given the higher loads and how cloud computing can automatically adapt to changing needs for data capture in the field. We are also interested reading data in the historical records over time, it can be display based on the time chart.
