7.1 Electrical Plans - General


1.3.1 General
(1) Sheet Size Electrical plans and drawings shall be drawn on sheets of the following standard sizes: 760 mm x 1000 mm (30 x 40) 600 mm x 900 mm (24 x 36) 500 mm x 760 mm (20 x 30) (2) Scale Appropriate metric drawing scales shall be used.

(3) General Notes and/or Specifications Shall show: (a) Nature of electrical service (b) Type of wiring (c) Special equipment to be installed (d) System or method of grounding (e) Type and rating of main disconnecting means, overcurrent protection (OCP) and branch circuit wiring (f) Clearances of service drop, burial depth for service lateral, mounting height and clearance for service equipment, mounting height and clearance for kWh meter Electrical Layout. Floor plan showing location of equipment and devices, and their interconnection wiring. (a) Lighting Layout - Layout and wiring plans for general lighting (b) Power Layout - Layout and wiring plans for power and convenience outlets (c) Auxiliary Layout - Layout and wiring plans of fire alarm manual stations, fire alarm bells, fire alarm control panels, and other fire 5 alarm devices

(5) Schedule of Loads - In tabulated form shall indicate: (a) Motor Loads i. Motors as numbered or identified in power layout, ii. Type of motor, iii. Horsepower/kilowatt/kilovolt ampere rating, iv. Voltage rating, v. Full-load current rating, vi. Frequency rating other than 60 hertz, vii. Number of phases, viiii. Type and size of wiring, and ix. Protective device rating.

(b) Lighting and Convenience Receptacle Loads i. Panel as numbered in the feeder diagram, ii. Circuit designation number, iii. Number of lighting outlets in each circuit, iv. Number of switches in each circuit, v. Number of receptacles (convenience outlets), vi. Voltage of circuit, vii. Type and size of wiring, and viiii. Type and size of wiring, and (c) Other Loads i. Designation number on plan, ii. Description of load, iii. Classification of service duty, if required, iv. Rating of kilovolt-ampere or kilowatt, v. Phase loading indicating full load line current, vi. Voltage rating, vii. Type and size of wiring, viii. Protective device rating,

(6) Design Analysis Shall show: (a) Branch circuits, sub-feeders, feeders, busways, and service, entrance; (b) Types, ratings, and trip settings of overload protective devices; (c) Calculation of short circuit current for determining the interrupting capacity of overurrent protection device; and (d) Calculation of voltage drops.

(B) Title Block
Title block or nameplate of plans and drawing shall be a standard strip of 40 mm high at the bottom of the sheet and shall contain:
(a) Name and location of installation or project; (b) Name, signature and address of owner/manager/operator; (c) Title of sheet; (d) Name, signature and seal of Professional Electrical Engineer together with Professional Regulation Commission professional license number and validity, Professional Tax Receipt Number, and Tax Identification Number; (e) Scale used, date drawn; and (f) Sheet number.
