A force is any influence that causes an object to
undergo a certain change, either concerning its
movement, direction, or geometrical
construction. In other words, a force can cause
an object with mass to change its velocity
(which includes to begin moving from a state of
rest), i.e., to accelerate, or a flexible object to
deform, or both. Force can also be described by
intuitive concepts such as a push or a pull. A
force has both magnitude and direction, making
it a vector quantity. It is measured in the SI unit
of newton's and represented by the symbol F.

ELETRICAL FORCE
FRICTIONAL FORCE
MAGNETIC FORCE
GRAVITATIONAL FORCE
MECHANICAL FORCE
What is frictional force?
Frictional force is present everywhere in our daily
life .
What causes frictional force?
The force of friction is
ultimately the result of forces
between atoms of the two
constituent objects that are
touching.
WHAT IS ELECTRICAL FORCE?
Electric force is the force that is created by the
magnitude of the various charges on each of the
various forces involved in the process.
A magnetic force is a type of field force whose
potential and momentum energy is at the expense
of an electrical field in time. It can be observed
when a magnetized metal comes into contact with
to another magnetized material. This force is
usually measured in Newton's and its direction is
given by the right hand rule.

The force of attraction between all masses in the
universe; especially the attraction of the earth's
mass for bodies near its surface; "the more
remote the body the less the gravity"; "the
gravitation between two bodies is proportional to
the product of their masses and inversely
proportional to the square of the distance
between them.
The force exerted by machines is called
mechanical force.
Think about what happens if you rub your hands
together. If you press your hands together, you have to
push harder to slide your hands past each other, and
your hands heat up more quickly. Pressing your hands
together is like adding more weight to the box before
trying to slide it across the floor. The added weight
makes the box push down harder on the floor, and you
will have to push harder on the box to make it slide.

Think about what happens if you rub your hands
against a smooth, polished surface, like wood
furniture, compared to a surface with a rougher
texture, like denim cloth. Which surface produces
more kinetic friction?
We certainly feel the electrical effects when there
is a large accumulation of charge, like when we
get a shock or get hit by lightning.

The electromagnetic force is what holds atoms
together and binds them together to make solids.
So in a sense every time we touch anything, we
are feeling the electromagnetic force. It is that
force that makes solids feel solid, specifically the
repulsion between the electrons in our body and
the electrons in the object.

If you pull an object vertically, work is
done to against the gravity force.
However, if you pull the same object
horizontally, work is done to against the
friction between the object and the
horizontal surface e.g. table, or ground
floor. Thus, as you mentioned, the
energy you spend on pulling the object
"x" and 'y" are not equal.
