Nokia Siemens Networks continuously analyses the evolution of the market demand affecting its product
portfolio to ensure that WCDMA Base Station products provide an efficient way to build up the WCDMA
networks.
We have recently noticed that the materials availability related to the Flexi RF Module 2100MHz Triple
70W product is going to reach a situation where relevant productivity developing actions are needed to
secure FRGP volume delivery capability.
At this moment FRGP 472100A is in volume deliveries and after redesign the product architecture is
harmonized to be the same as in many other radio modules securing high volume delivery capability. As
an outcome, FRGP 472100B version was introduced to phase in.
FRGP 472100B version has been available in volume deliveries since May 2012 and it is supported by
WN6.0 MP4.3 (RU20) BTW SW being available in 13.4.2912 onwards. Mixed configuration with
FRGF/FRGP A-version or System Module FSMB is supported in WN7.0 (RU30) onwards.
Taken into account the SW dependency, both FRGP A and B versions have the same form, fit, function
and performance.
Its in both operators and Nokia Siemens Networks interest to use products in the market based on
latest component technologies.
