1.Jesus uses people who are already doing the right things. (v.1) Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer. . .(v.1)
2. Jesus uses people who can be interrupted. And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.
3. Jesus uses people who pay attention to needs. And Peter directed his gaze at him as did John, and said Look at us.
4. Jesus uses people who inspires hope in others. And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. (v.5)
5. Jesus uses people who use what they have. But Peter said I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you, In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. (v. 6)
6. Jesus uses people who know their Source. . . . . . But what I do have I give to you, In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. ( v.6)
7. Jesus uses people who will try their best and trust Him to do the rest. And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. (v.7)
8. Jesus uses people who want Him to get all the glory. And His name, by faith in His name has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all. (v. 16)
9. Jesus uses people who are not easily intimidated. And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, By what power or by what name did you do this? (Acts 4: 7)
10. Jesus uses people who are filled with the Holy Spirit. Then Peter filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders. (Acts 4: 8)
11. Jesus uses people who have the boldness to share the truth. And when they saw the boldness of Peter and John . . . . . (Acts 4: 13)
12. Jesus uses people who obey Him no matter what. So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But peter and John answered them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen or heard. (Acts 4: 18-20)
Since the time of Jesus, the Kingdom of God is always confronted by the shortage of workers / laborers. Jesus said The harvest is great but the laborers are few . . .
