Cafe direct was born during a crisis, when in 1989 an


international coffee agreement which had fixed global prices
according to the cost of production, collapsed. Middlemen
swooped in to buy up the coffee and the lives of millions of
smallholder farmers around the world was in jeopardy as
they were left with no choice, but to sell their harvests at
rock bottom prices.

Wal-mart is a very big business in the UK also it is a international business it has
different braches in 27 countries.
Its legislation and government policies is register tax employment law show annual
report import and export tax etc is involve in these type business
Economic policies of government affect the firms` costs (through taxation and interest
rate)
Legislation regulates what business can do in this area such as environment and
occupational safety and health.
Successful firms are good for government as they create wealth and employment

In 1987 Fernando Duarte took his friend Robert Broz in to a chicken restaurant called Chicken
land in Rosettenville, Johannesburg. Fernando Duarte was an audio technician from Porto,
Portugal, whose family had emigrated to South Africa.
This business is national level business these type of business need to fill some
government policies to run business in country like
Employment law , hygienic food law , tax registration and health and safety law etc.
These type business have a very good impact on economic system to grow the
economic of country for example its provide the employment pay more tax etc.
Government cut tax by them and spending on economic influence like fiscal and
monetary policies .
In these types of business there are a lot of competitors which is impact on each other
