1. Heavy Duty Platform Installation

and Dismantle:
a. Installation:
- Composition of heavy duty platform (figure 1).
- Materials of platform will be lifted up from
ground floor using tower crane and setup at
required locations.

- Platform to be installed above voids area (Figure

b. Dismantle:
- After complete the project, use tower crane to
remove platforms from voids area (see figure
3).
- Cut UB into 2 lengths (if require).
Use trolley to move beams to the building
boundary where mobile crane can access.
- Use mobile crane to lift up beams from fifth
floor to ground floor.

2. Types of prop:
- 3 types of prop to be
installed:

PR1: 1.5mx1.5m use for 5m PR2: 1.8mx1.8m use for 11m

height
PR3: 3.0mx3.0m use for 11m
height

3. Scaffolding Required Position:

- Scaffolding installation position (see figure 5):
1. around column perimeter
2. below ring perimeter
3. below mushroom roof
4. below oval roof.

All access scaffolding to be supplied and

installed by Suncon, unless those less than 3.5m
height to be installed by YSS Engineering S/B.

Scaffolding installation
sequence:

a. Type 1:

Step 1: YSSE to install scaffolding up to 3.5m at

column perimeter, for welding purpose.
Step 2: Install scaffolding below ring perimeter for
welding purpose.
Step 3: Install scaffolding below ring perimeter for
welding purpose.
Step 4: Extend all internal scaffolding up to below
mushroom roof for bolt tightening purpose.

b. Type 2:
Step 1: YSSE to install scaffolding up to 3.5m at
column perimeter, for welding purpose.
Step 2: Install scaffolding next to column group for
welding purpose.
Step 3: Install scaffolding below prop for welding
purpose.
Step 4: Install scaffolding below ring for welding
purpose.
Step 5: Extend all internal scaffolding up to below
mushroom roof for bolt tightening purpose.

c. Type 3:
Step 1: YSSE to install scaffolding up to 3.5m at
column perimeter, for welding purpose.
Step 2: Install scaffolding next to column group for
welding purpose.
Step 3: Install scaffolding next to column group for
welding purpose.

welding purpose.
Step 5: Install scaffolding below perimeter ring for
welding purpose.
Step 6: Install scaffolding below perimeter ring for
welding purpose.
Step 7: Extend all internal scaffolding up to below

4. Sequence of AAR installation:

Installation sequence

1. Site marking and as built survey - All main

gridlines and sub-gridlines shall be marked with
black color line on floor, reference elevation
level also shall be marked on existing concrete
column.

Installation:

Step1: Setup heavy duty platform above void area where required

Step2: Install prop PR1, PR2 & PR3 to support ring frame
where required

Step3: Install anchor bolts at columns below up stand beam perimeter

Step4: Install 1st steel column below up stand beam perimeter.

Check for bottom level and verticality, upon confirmed and satisfied,
tighten all anchor bolts.

Step5: Repeat step1, install all steel columns below up stand

beam perimeter

Step6: Install anchor bolts of CHS457 columns on Alfresco-floor

Step7: Install anchor bolts for steel column.

Insert polystyrene block where required for bearing pad anchor bolts.

Installation of type3 column and ring:

Step1: Install 3A at grid line M-N/45 with tower crane TC4.

Do not tighten anchor bolt, but secure sufficiently.
Check bottom of column level.

Step2: Install3B using tower crane TC4.

Use temporary bracket to lock it, adjust alignment and verticality, upon

confirmed and satisfied, weld it to 3A.

Step3: Install 3C using tower crane TC4, weld it to 3B.

Step4: Install 3D using tower crane TC4, use temporary bracket to lock
it, upon confirmed, weld it to 3C.

Step 5: Lift up 3G using tower crane TC4 with temporary bracket

to lock it, use prop to support ring frame.
Step 6: Lift up 3F using tower crane TC4, use prop to support

ring frame.

Step 7: Repeat step5&6, upon completed a full ring, weld all ring joints.

Installation of type2 column and ring:

Step1: Install 2A at grid line M/38 with tower crane TC6.

Step2: Install 2BC using tower crane TC4.

Upon satisfied, weld it to 3A.

Step3: install Two 2CD using tower crane TC6 with temporary
bracket, use scaffolding to support it. Upon satisfied, proceed
to tack weld to 2BC.

Step4: install 2E using tower crane TC6 with temporary bracket, use prop
to support ring frame, upon confirmed. Proceed to tack weld to 2CD.42

Step5: Repeat step3&4, upon complete a full ring, weld all ring joints
together.

Installation of type1 column and ring:

Step1: install 1st column at gridline k/38 with tower crane TC6.

Step2: repeat step1, install 4 columns at gridline k/38 with tower crane
TC6.

Step3: install Two 1B using tower crane TC6 with temporary

bracket, use scaffolding to support it. Upon satisfied, proceed
to tack weld to 1A.

Step4: Install 1C using tower crane TC6, use PR1 to support ring
frame. Proceed to tack weld to 1B.

Step5: Repeat step3&4, upon complete a full ring, weld all ring joints
together.

Installation of frame and cantilever on RC beam

perimeter:

Step1: Install 1st steel frame perimeter and cantilever using tower
crane, adjust alignment and level, upon confirmed and satisfied,

tighten stamp column anchor bolts.

Step2: Repeat step1, install all steel frame perimeter and

cantilever using Tower crane TC4 or TC6

Step1: Install 1st tie beam using tower crane, install scaffolding to
access tie beam installation. Adjust alignment and level, upon

confirmed and satisfied, weld it to ring frame.

Installation of tie beams:

Step2: Repeat step1, install tie beams for all ring

Step3: Install first tie truss using tower crane, check alignment and
level, repeat same step to complete tie trusses installation at the
required locations.

Installation of lower roof:

Install first member of lower roof using tower crane, adjust alignment
and level, repeat same step to complete lower roof installation. 54

Installation upper ring and truss members and

mush room roof:

Install upper rings using tower crane TC4 or TC6, install and
tighten mush room roof trusses and finally install mushroom

Installation mushroom roof type4 and purlin:

- For mushroom roof type4, we use tower crane
TC4 or TC6 for the process of installation,
maximum weight as per assembly is allowed
only 2.1mt and follow steps below:
1. Ring frame of type4 will be lifted up using
mobile crane, prop it by PR2, lock it with
trusses and tie beam around it, adjust
alignment and level, upon confirmed and
satisfied, weld all ring joints together.
2. Install upper ring, install trusses and tighten all
bolts
3. Install mushroom roof.
Install all purlins for all mushroom roofs and oval
roof.
