ProfileTermsandSymbols

Thedistancebetweenstationpointsandtheamountofslopeareoften
indicatedintheprofilejustabovethepipe.Thesizeofthepipeis
givenfirst,andthenthedistancebetweenmaintenanceholes,
followedbytheslopeinthiscase,verticaldropinfeettohorizontal
runperfoot.
Gradeanestablishedelevation,suchasroadgrade.Givenwiththe
manholenumberandstationvalueintheplanview.
Insomecases,theplanmaybelocatedtotheleftofthedrawing,
withtheprofileontheright.Theprofilealwaysappearsasastraight
lineorflatplane,buttheplanviewmayshowseveralturnsinthe
pipe.
