QUANTUM HEAT CONVERTER

Our cars, ships, airplanes, or rockets are based on a discovery since 500,000 years ago, namely FIRE – a
technique for getting energy by burning a fuel. But now, the fuels become more and more expensive, and most of
them, as oil and gas, will soon be exhausted. The worst is that burning means emitting poisonous gases, heating
the atmosphere, and changing the heat absorption-radiation properties of our planet. That means that the climate
becomes warmer and warmer, threatening the survival of the humanity.
Now, we are ready to avoid this deathly danger. We are ready to get energy from the surroundings, where there
is plenty of energy, as heat. We know how to convert this heat into usable energy in a straightforward way,
without any burning process – two US patents (20090007951 LONGITUDINAL QUANTUM HEAT CONVERTER
01-08-2009 and 20090007951 QUANTUM INJECTION SYSTEM 01-08-2009). The first patent is for converting
the environmental heat into a coherent electromagnetic field, and further on into electricity, by a quantum effect in
a semiconductor device. The second patent is for converting the coherent electromagnetic field into electricity,
which is essential for the operation of a quantum heat converter. With such a device, we can obtain a usable
power, as radiation or electricity.
A quantum heat converter is a device with two electric terminals, as a semiconductor chip (probably a GaAs-
AlxGa1-xAs heterostructure), in intimate thermal contact with a heat absorbent, providing energy by heat
absorption from the environment. For a smaller load, as a mobile phone or a computer, this electric energy is
used to charge an accumulator, which regulates the energy consumption. For a larger load, as a house, a car, or
a pump extracting water from the underground, this electric energy could be used to produce hydrogen by water
electrolysis. In this case, a motor working with hydrogen will be used instead of the classical motor with oil. I
believe that a car will have a hydrogen motor, supplied by its own equipment for the hydrogen production on the
account of the environmental heat, and also the possibility to be supplied at a hydrogen pump. Such motors will
not produce carbon in the atmosphere any more, as the present motors, but they will produce water, which in fact
will be re-circulated. This device is compact, needing only a thermal contact with the environment, which means
that is rather light, easily transportable, and when it is installed, needs no maintenance.

QUANTUM INJECTION SYSTEM

This is a device (US patent 20090007951 called QUANTUM INJECTION SYSTEM 01-08-2009)
related to another device (US patent 20090007951 called LONGITUDINAL QUANTUM HEAT
CONVERTER 01-08-2009), which is devoted to producing energy on the account of the
environmental heat. A quantum injection system is essential for a quantum heat converter, since
the operation of such a device is based on a current injection. Thus, the heat conversion into
electromagnetic energy is based on two processes: (1) a heat absorption, providing the primary
energy of a quantum heat converter, and (2) a current injection in this device, provided by a
quantum injection system.
A quantum injection system has two versions of interest: (1) a device converting a small part of the
incoming electromagnetic power into an electric current, necessary for the operation of a quantum
heat converter, and (2) another device, for the total conversion of the electromagnetic power into
electricity.
In comparison with other similar devices, converting light into electricity, as solar cells, this device is
more compatible with a quantum heat converter, having a similar semiconductor structure. A
quantum injection system has a maximum sensitivity for the wavelength of the electromagnetic field
generated by a quantum heat converter. Any quantum heat converter needs a quantum injection
system in the first version for its operation. With a single quantum injection system in the first
version, we obtain a quantum heat converter with radiation as output power. If, at output, we add a
quantum injection system in the second version, we obtain a device with electricity as output power.
Thus, with combinations of these two devices, we obtain a system converting the environmental
heat either into radiation or into electricity, that depending on our needs.
