2 . 0 : Reaching your buyers directly
Publishing on the web is
easy.
Getting traffic is even
easier.

Traffic = Buyers.

You need great content to feed

your target audience and turn
surfers into buyers.

Questions to ask myself :

•Who are my readers?
•Where might I reach them?
•Why would they listen to me?
Have a story to tell. Make sure it’s
authentic. Use persona’s to improve it. Reach
out and tell your story. Then learn from the
feedback. Show them you are learning. And join
the conversation.
Getting Smart With
Facebook
Facebook is a valuable social media tool for companies
that want to reach the following audiences:
•Consumers under the age of 30
•Females from any age group
•A specific subset of the population
Facebook’s demographic targeting allows
marketers to reach consumers according to sex,
age, keywords, education, workplace, relationship
status, and romantic interest (men or women). You
can also target all users of a particular
country, or more narrowly target by
state/province and city.
Trend to Watch : The older demographic is
becoming more of a force on the Facebook
platform

The True Cost of Bad Publicity
three of ways bad publicity can impact you online:
•SEO hijacking . One disgruntled customer with enough
free time can potentially taint your reputation through
the search engines
•Social media chatter . A bad PR day and a few hundred
people on Twitter holding your feet to the fire can
create the impression that there’s widespread
dissatisfaction with your company
•Poor reviews . Consumers have more power than ever to
tell others how they feel about your products and
services
