Introduction to Structure 1 Course


Text book: Structure 1, Zuhairi A., Universitas Terbuka 2011
Tutorial module consists of 12 parts but will be cover in 8 classes.
Nouns and Pronouns (Nomina dan Pronomina) 1st class
Verbs, Adjectives and Adverbs (Module 2 &3) 2nd class
Prepositions and Articles, Phrase (Frasa) (Module 4&5) 3rd class
Auxiliaries and Agreement (Module 6&7) 4th class

Homework in each week (except the last week)
Scores taken by averaging the score for every two homework

Verbs menyatakan suatu tindakan, perihal atau keadaan
Posisi Verb ada setelah subjek kecuali pada kalimat

ADJECTIVES (Kata Sifat)

Adjectives adalah kata yang menerangkan kata benda.


Adjectives give information about nouns and noun phrases
and answer the question What kind? (Raimes, 1992,
p.99)
Adjective is a modifier that has the grammatical property of
comparison (Franks, 1972, p.109)

Adverbs menerangkan berbagai jenis kata


Adverbs give information about verbs and verbs phrases or
about adjectives and answer the question How?
(Raimes, 1993, p.99)
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or
another adverb (Beech et,al, 1984, p.132)
