Abstract

Now a days due to increasing industries the addition

of industrial wastes are added to environment which
are dangerous for environment. Textile effluents
consists of number of dyes, natural impurities and
other pollutants. These the environmental concern of
these carcinogenic pollutants in contaminated water
has drawn the attention of many research workers.
Advanced oxidative process are employ using Fenton
reagent and titanium oxide

The present work is focused on the homogenous and

heterogeneous photo catalytic degradation of acid dye orange 8 a
non biodegradable dye from dye manufacturing industries. Dye
is treated with Fenton reagent and titanium oxide. Results
indicate that dye degradation is dependent on concentration of
dye, photocatalyst, and Ph of experiment solutions. Results
indicate that dye gradation is more efficient by Fenton reagent
rather then titanium oxide

objective
s
Basic concern is degradation of
dye which is carcinogenic and
had bad effects on environment.
Basically by doing this
experiment we get rid of
dangerous chemicals which are
present in industrial waste water.

Experimen
t

Advanced oxidative process have

provided advanced catalyzed
oxidation of dye.AOPs based on
generation of hydroxyl radicals
which readily converts the organic
contaminates into
CO2,H2O.Generally Fenton
reagent is used in this experiment.
First reaction mixture is irradiated
with photons. the progress of
reaction is measured by
spectrophotometer. The rate of
decrease of absorbance with time
is monitored by
spectrophotometer.simlarly by
using titanium oxide firstly
catalyst is added to reaction
mixture then irradiated with visible
light. rate of decrease of color with
time continuously monitored

Conclusio
n
The experiment reveal that as
more hydrogen peroxide
concentration is increased, more
hydroxyl radicals produced and
more easily of dye degradation
occur. the homogeneous photo
catalysis is more efficient way
for degradation of dyes in
industrial waste water which is
dangerous for our environment.
